Sage, a light brown pup with beautiful 紫色, 紫罗兰色 eyes, leapt out of the bushes, crushing her brother, Thorn.
"Got you!" she yelled, just as her mother Lily and her father Garth entered the clearing with her sister Tiger Lily and her other brother, Tiger.
Unlike her siblings, Sage was light brown. Everyone else in her family was pure white like her mother, except Garth of course.
"Dad!" yelled Thorn, scrambling to get free, his small white paws digging into the ground.
"Can't get away from me!" yelled Sage, chuckling.
"Sage! Let your brother go now!" yelled Garth.
Lily just looked down at her pups and smiled.
"Come on Garth! They're just playing! I remember me and Kate used to play like that too! Except I was usually the one on the bottom." Lily looked up at the sky and sighed.
"Hey mom. Is uncle Humphrey and Aunt Kate coming over?" asked Tiger Lily.
"I think so! That's actually what I wanted to tell 你 guys about! Kate is having pups!" Lily replied.
"New playmates!" yelled Tiger, excitedly.
"When they are first born they are too young to play with. But once they get a little older we can visit them for a play date!" 说 Garth.
"Come on pups! I caught 你 a caribou. I left it over there," 说 Lily motioning with her tail.
"Your mother is becoming a fine hunter," 说 Garth.
"When I was young I sucked at hunting! I could barely pin down a pine cone. But then..." Lily began.
"Mom we need to eat! 你 tell us this story all the time! I don't need to know how dad swept away your 毛皮 and told 你 how beautiful your eyes are! We all know!" yelled Thorn.
"Oh fine," 说 their mother, disappointed.
"Let's go eat," 说 Garth as they padded out of their 巢穴, den, 书房 to find a giant Grizzly 熊 eating their prey.
