First of all - thank your dad for helping with the issue. 你 are going to face this issue several times in your life - as 你 go to high school, university, jobs, etc. But, just remember so will many of those 你 come in contact with at the new school, etc. will also be in the same position, and will be looking for close 老友记 that they can hang out with.
