I just felt that this had the most impact to the story as a whole. Judy’s resolve to become, not only a police officer, but the best police officer, was done, in part, to prove him wrong. Then, at the moment when Judy is at her lowest, she has lost her resolve, who appears but the very fox that gave her that resolve, but in a negative way. Then he apologizes for doing and saying those things to her, which shows her that growth and change is possible in anyone, and if the “jerk” Gideon can become “kind baker” Gideon, then maybe she can find it in herself to apologize as well. Then Gideon brings it full circle by inspiring her again, by casually mentioning the name of a flower. Gideon is the character that gave Judy her main inspirations, one to prove wrong, and one to prove right. Without Gideon, Judy wouldn’t have become the best cop in Zootopia, and would’ve never cracked the nighthowler case. That’s why Gideon is my favorite character, and that’s why this scene is my favorite.
