Chapter Ten-
Alexa slumped against the wall. She wanted to cry, but refused to.
She had to 移动 out of the ruined building that had served as her 首页 for so many years. There was nothing to take with her except a few pair of clothes the Injustice League had 给 her.
Alexa bit back a sob and picked up the backpack with her clothes in it and walking through the wall.
She slid along the shadows of the building before darting across the street. She heard sirens down the 街, 街道 and ducked behind a garbage can as they passed. After a moment, and making sure the area was clear, Alexa got up and darted to the end of the alleyway.
She climbed up the ladder and slipped. She gritted her teeth and pulled herself up the icy ladder. This whole ordeal reminded her of the beginning.

"Alexa! Are 你 coming for 晚餐 或者 what?" a woman called.
"Coming mother!" the little nine 年 old replied, jogging down the stairs.
The little girl, her father, and her father sat at the 表 for a 分钟 when they heard something outside. Her father opened the blinds to reveal 蝙蝠侠 and the Joker surrounded 由 police officers.
"What the-?" her father asked. "Sally! Turn on the television!"
"Who are they daddy?" the little girl asked, her black hair waving behind her head.
"Those are fugitives, honey. Bad guys."
"Bad guys indeed." Alexa said, sitting on the roof. "Oh, dad." with that Alexa broke into tears.
Similar tears slid down the face of the masked figure across the street.

Revenge watched. The Shadow placed something in the drawer and began to close it.
Revenge jumped down and kicked him in the face. The shadow fell to the ground. Revenge pinned him before opening the drawer. The body was disintegrated, an acid ate through the flesh, muscles, bones, everything. Revenge collected a sample before he saw the grenade.
It was a timed grenade. And the timer indicated ten 秒 before detonation.
"Shit!"

Revenge stumbled away. The woman looked at the needle in her hand. The blood within was mixed with a strange brown mixture. Revenge gripped his arm and glared at the woman.
"A simple test will tell me who is beneath the mask, Red Revenge. And your secret will belong to me."
"Not likely." Revenge growled.
"Oh, but that's not all it does." she continued. "It poisons the blood stream. Corrupts the DNA within cells and eventually kills them."
"Nerve gas."
"In a liquid form, yes Red Revenge."
"A simple test will tell me who is beneath the mask, Red Revenge. And your secret will belong to me."
"Not likely." Revenge growled.
