Part III

"Recognized, Red Revenge. B-13."

The Team looked up from their usual activities as the masked vigilante stepped into the Cave.

Artemis and Wally, who were playing chess glared at him, then turned back to the board. Connor glared at him, then turned back to talking to Megan. Kaldur greeted him.

"Revenge, may I speak to 你 in private?" the Atlantean asked.

Revenge nodded and slipped out of the room with Aqualad.

"I can guess." Revenge 说 as he and Aqualad walked into the briefing room.

"The Team feels as if 你 are..."

"Acting like a jerk?" Revenge asked. "That's me."

"I know 你 are not used to working in a Team, none of us were at the beginning, but we pushed through and came together for the sake of the Team." Aqualad said.

"Your saying I don't work like a member of the Team?" Revenge sighed. "True enough. I don't work well with people."

"I can understand. But I must ask 你 not to be so blunt and, well rude for lack of a better word."

"I'll try." Revenge said. "No promises though."

Aqualad just looked at him. At that moment, 蝙蝠侠 entered the room, cape flowing.

"Team, 报道 to the briefing room." he 说 over the speakers. As the rest of the Team ran in, Revenge sunk into the shadows.

"Computer, Los Angeles news." 蝙蝠侠 said. A holo-screen popped up.

"This is Cat Grant, coming to 你 live from Los Angeles where 星, 星级 Sapphire and the Joker have rigged a fully loaded hospital to explode. No word yet, but the Justice League says it is sending its best team to deal with the threat, although the two super villains have threatened to detonate the hospital if the Justice League arrives. No word yet on what they want." the news 报道 said.

"You are that Team." 蝙蝠侠 said. "Get in the hospital and deactivate the bombs. Alert us once 你 have finished so we can call in the League."

"Understood," Aqualad said. The Team ran off.

Revenge began to follow, but 蝙蝠侠 put a hand on his shoulder. "I sense foul play. Keep an eye out."

Revenge nodded and ran off.

The bioship touched down in L.A. behind the designated hospital.

"Okay," Robin said, pulling a holo map up. "Batman's intel indicates that the bombs are here and here."

"Alright, let's do this!" Wally said, but before he could blur off, Aqualad put his hand in front of the speedster.

"We need a plan. Revenge, Robin, Wally, Artemis will deactivate the first bomb, the rest of 你 with me." Aqualad said.

"Who's in charge of team two?" Wally asked.

Aqualad looked thoughtfully at the group.

"Revenge." he said.

"But-" Wally began, but a sharp look from Aqualad cut him off.

The two teams 分裂, 拆分 and headed for their separate bombs.



 "Aqualad to team two, no bomb here, meet 你 in the lobby." Aqualad said.

"Funny, no bomb here." Revenge said.

Revenge's team met with Aqualad's in the main lobby.

"Did 你 deactivate your bomb?" Aqualad asked.

"There was no bomb, at least not where 你 sent us." Revenge replied.

"Robin, re-scan for bombs."

"Already have, three times. I'm not picking up any." Robin said.

"That's because there are no bombs. I've got 你 right where I want you." a voice 说 from the shadows. 

"Team to Batman! It's a trap! It's a-ungh!" Robin was the first to go down. Wally, Artemis, Connor, and Megan went down too. A gas 云, 云计算 enveloped the other members of the Team.

Aqualad ran forward, but Revenge grabbed him. "Wait! That's toxic!"

A figure leaped out of the cloud.

She looked to be around the same age as Revenge, fifteen. Her blonde hair hung freely behind her head. She had a devilish grin on her face. She was dressed in a black body suit with a green 衬衫 resembling Artemis's over it and a utility belt.

"Hello," she said.

Revenge pulled out a pistol and fired. Metal disks flew through the air, but the girl was too fast. She dodged them all. Revenge pulled out some daggers and tossed them in front of her, they exploded, tossing the girl in front of Revenge.

Revenge picked her up 由 the throat. "Who hired you?" he asked. 

"Revenge! No!" Aqualad said, attempting to intervene.

Revenge turned to shove Aqualad off.

"Your mistake." the girl said. Revenge gasped as he felt a cold blade slice his chest. He collapsed to the ground.

Aqualad unsheathed his weapons. The girl grinned. "That's not going to help." she said. She threw several metal shapes through the air. They embedded themselves in Aqualad's skin. Aqualad looked down to see metal leaves sticking out of his skin. He fell to the ground groaning. 

Then all went black.
