My name is Tiki. I am a sea nymph and one of the 更多 devious ones at that. I’m always playing pranks on the surface dwellers with the help of my dad. He is a very powerful Ocean master. One day, he assigned me a new task: play with the 心 of the one named Wally West to get him distracted from his work as Kid Flash. I agreed readily to the task. I was put through a minor shaping shifting spell so I could change my dark blue skin to that of a tan human. I swam to the surface wearing a one piece swim suit. My naturally Cyan blue hair was now blonde with a blue streak and I had 纹身 going over my blue eyes. I swam silently to the 海滩 where I found my target: the ginger known as Wally West. I started to swim faster to the shore, not making a single splash. When the water got too shallow, I pretended to be unconscious and I let the waves push me onto the beach. I mentally called Wally over to me. He looked down on my limp body.
“Woah! Dude, there’s an unconscious babe on the beach. That’s new” he said. I ‘spluttered’ up water and ‘weakly’ opened my eyes.
“W-who are you?” I asked weakly
“The name’s Wally West. Who are you?” he asked, pulling me from the water.
“I’m Tiki” I 说 quietly
“That’s a pretty name. Where do 你 live? I could arrange a ride 首页 for you” he said. I live in…Canada. Yeah, Canada, that’ll work” I murmured
“Okay, I might not be able to get 你 首页 after all” he said, helping me up.
“How’d 你 get here if 你 live in Canada?” he asked
“I was…uh on a cruise when I fell overboard. I must’ve hit my head on something and I drifted here” I lied
“Oh. Do 你 have any 老友记 或者 family here in Happy Harbor?” he asked
“No, but I’m sure I’ll be out of here in no 更多 than a week. See, I’m very resourceful” I smiled
“Well, for now I could ask if 你 could stay with me. It’ll be like a long sleepover until 你 find a way home. If 你 want to, that is” he smiled
“Um, okay” I nodded. I followed him into town where he accessed a pay phone. He put four quarters in and dialed a number. I waited outside the booth as he talked to the person on the other end of the line. He turned around, still on the phone and gave me a big thumbs up. I smiled and watched as he hung up and walked out.
“We are a go for the sleepover. My Uncle is going to be here in a minute. For now, let’s find 你 some cloths” he said, glancing at my swim suit. He was quiet for a bit, then a group of people came walking down the street. They all looked friendly. Then I recognized one as the Atlantien Kalder’ahm. I was glad I used a shape shifting spell, 或者 he would no doubtedly recognize me. The girl with blonde hair looked at me coolly.
“So, this is your new girlfriend?” she asked
“I just met her. How could she be my girlfriend already?” he asked
“Because 你 invited her to your house for a sleepover, and 你 tend to be quick with a lot of things” the one in the shades grinned
“Well, I’m not his girlfriend” I said
“You seem familiar. Do I know you?” Kalder asked
“No. Do I know you?” I asked
“No. Well, I don’t think 你 do” he shrugged
“By the way, my name is Tiki Waters” I added, making up a last name.
“That’s a unique name” the girl with brown hair said
“Thanks. I think” I added
“Well, Wally called and 说 你 needed clothes, so we brought some” the brunette said, holding out an overskirt.
“That was very kind of you” I said, slipping it on over my swim suit.
“Good. It fits” she smiled “I’m Megan, 由 the way” I shook her hand.
“I’m Kalder. It is good to meet you” he said. I shook his outstretched hand. It was cool to the touch. I looked down and noticed his fingers were webbed.
“Your fingers!” I gasped. He quickly drew back his hand.
“It is a skin condition” he 说 quickly. I looked at him skeptically.
“You look very familiar” I said. I looked him from bottom to top, my gaze resting on his eyes. Realization dawned on me.
“You’re Aqualad” I 说 in a hushed voice.
“What would make 你 think such an odd thought?” he asked
“Webbed hands, pants that are far back, a high collared 夹克 in summer; But what gave it away were your eyes: both 你 and Aqualad and silver irises” I said. I then carefully inspected the rest of the people.
“Robin, Super Boy, Artemis Kid Flash and Miss Martian. You’re them, aren’t you?” I asked. They pulled me to a dark, abandoned alley.
“We are. But 你 must not tell anyone” Kalder murmured
“I know, I know. You’re heroes. Wouldn’t want villains tracking you” I shrugged
“Okay, now that we have that settled, why don’t we go to the cave?” Kalder suggested
“What’s the cave?” I asked, following them to the 海滩 where I washed up. We walked to the mountain and went inside a disguised door.
“This, is the cave” Robin said, gesturing to the cave we entered. I followed them to a dorm area.
“Hey, why don’t 你 stay here instead of going to Wally’s house?” Megan suggested
“Good idea” I agreed. ‘Then I can be closer to 首页 that way’ I thought. After two days, Wally and I had gotten really close. Another 日 passed and we started to date. On the fourth day, this is what happened: I was walking along the water line, starring at my home, the water, when someone covered my eyes.
“Guess who” 说 a familiar voice.
“Wally” I smiled. He took his hands off and I turned around. He was smiling and holding something behind his back.
“What’s behind your back?” I asked
“A present for you” he 说 “Close your eyes” I closed my eyes tightly. He put something around my neck.
“You can open them now” he said. I opened my eyes and looked at the water. In my reflection, I saw a 项链 made from deku seeds.
“I made it myself” Wally 说 proudly. My throat swelled. That night, it happened. My dad reclaimed me. The shape shifting spell wore off. My skin started turning blue, along with my hair. I slipped on my 夹克 and ran to the beach. Before I entered the water, a familiar voice stopped me.
“Were 你 even going to say good bye?” he asked. I stayed very still.
“Wally, I must go” I said
“Why?” he demanded. I turned, letting him get a good look at me.
“My father has reclaimed me. I must return” I 说 quietly
“Was it all an act? Was everything just one big lie strung together 由 your big daddy?” he asked bitterly
“No. It wasn’t supposed to happen this way. It wasn’t supposed to happen to me” I murmured
“What wasn’t?” he asked
“I wasn’t supposed to fall for you. I was just supposed to come, play with your feelings and go. Nothing deeper” I whispered
“You came just to play with my heart? Why? Because 你 don’t have one of your own?” he snarled
“Wally, please” I pleaded, tears in my eyes.
“No. It hurts too much to 爱情 you” he said, turning away from me. I ran into the water and 鸽子 down into its dark depths. If 你 could cry underwater, I sure was. I went to my father.
“Good, you’re back. I take it 你 succeeded in your mission?” he asked
“Yes” I 说 quietly
“You do not seem happy? Why is that?” he asked
“I broke his heart, Father” I whispered
“So, 你 succeeded in your job” he shrugged
“At what price?! 你 didn’t even bother to ask how I broke his heart! Do 你 know how I did? He loved me, and I lied to him and deceived him” I yelled
“So? That happened with the others, too” he dismissed
“Yes, I succeeded, but at the price of my heart. My 心 has been broken in two, leaving him. So, I hope you’re proud” I snarled, tears streaking my face. I ran to my room and cried myself to sleep. I woke in the morning to sunlight. That was odd. I didn’t usually get sun in my room until mid-day. I looked around and realized I was on the 海滩 where I met him. His name was too painful to say. I looked down and realized I had tan skin and blonde hair with a streak of blue in it. I was in a human morph! I got up and walked around. I sat back on the sand and waited. If I knew one thing about him is that he would be out any moment now. I heard someone yell.
‘Knew it’ I thought to myself as Wally ran over to me.
“Tiki? Is that you?” he asked. I turned around.
“Wally, listen-mmph!” he pressed his lips hard to mine, cutting me off. When he broke, tears were in both of our eyes.
“No, 你 listen. I was a huge jerk last night. I shouldn’t have let 你 go. When 你 left, it felt like a piece of me was being ripped out. I didn’t like that feeling” he said
“Wally, I can’t disagree that 你 were being a jerk, but so was I. I shouldn’t have agreed to come just to play with your heart. But then again, I’m glad I did, 或者 else I never would’ve met you, and I never would’ve felt what it’s like to love” I whispered
“Well, when 你 put it that way, I’m kind of glad 你 agreed” he smiled
“So am I, Wally, so am I” I smiled, leaning into his embrace.
“So, what are 你 anyway?” he asked
“Oh, just a mischievous sea nymph in 爱情 with a mortal” I said
“A sea nymph, eh? Does that mean 你 really weren’t half drowned when I found you?” he grinned
“Nah. I was just seeing if 你 would give me mouth to mouth” I smirked
“Well, 你 don’t need to drown for me to give 你 mouth to mouth” he said, leaning in.
“I’m sorry, but EW!” 说 a new voice. Wally and I spun around to find Robin standing there. I rolled my eyes, smiling slightly.
“Robin, 你 have probably the worst timing in the history of worst timing’s” Wally groaned.
“Go ahead, kiss, make out, do whatever 你 desire, just don’t say anything that mushy ever again around me!” Robin gagged. Wally turned back to me and leaned in. It was like a happy ending in one of those fairy tale 电影院 where the prince kisses the damsel 由 the sea. Except in this case, the super fast hero kisses the human looking sea nymph 由 the sea. A perfect ending. Until Robin yelled get a room and ran off cackling while we chased after him trying to strangle him.
