I got out of the hospital 床, 床上 and winced in pain. My ribs still hurt, but my arm was a bit better. In the hall, 问题 and Huntress were waiting for me.
“Where is everyone?” I asked
“They all went home” Huntress said, getting up.
“Then why are 你 still here?” I pondered
“The least we could do is give 你 a ride home” Huntress smiled
“So, how are we getting there?” I asked. They walked out to the parking lot up to a blue vintage looking car.
“This, is how we’re getting 你 home” 问题 said, opening the door. I hopped in the back seat, while Huntress and 问题 got in the front. He started up the car and drove off.
“So, where do 你 live anyway?” Huntress asked
“Mount Justice” I said. We drove off quickly, heading straight to Happy Harbor. I watched as the scenery raced by. We arrived quickly at the mountain. I jumped out.
“Thank 你 for the drive” I smiled
“Night, before 你 go, I wish to know the real reason why 你 faced down Superman” 问题 said
“I already told you, I’m not good with psychopaths” I turned to him
“Yet, I heard from Shayera 你 disarmed one of Joker’s bombs” he pointed out.
“So, what’s your point?” I demanded
“Joker is a psychopath, so 你 obviously have no conflict with them” 问题 responded
“Maybe I don’t have a conflict with psychopaths, maybe I do. What’s I to you!?” I yelled. He was getting under my skin. Too close to the core.
“Maybe it’s not that 你 have a conflict with psychopaths, it’s that 你 have a conflict with your loyalty” He continued.
“Shut up!” I yelled. He hit the treasure chest under the big red X. I ran to the mountain and hid in the shadows. I heard Huntress shout as I ran through the door into the mountain. I sat silently in my room and listened to my i-Pod. The song Sweet Sacrifice 由 伊凡塞斯 came on. I started to hum along when someone loudly knocked on my door. I opened it. Kalder was waiting there. He started to say something, but I couldn’t hear him. I took out my headphones, but I still couldn’t hear him. He started to fade. An image of twin old women appeared in his place. My ex-masters.
“He will die in seven days” 说 one. I woke up with a gasp. I heard a scream. I ran down the hall towards it. It was a girl with red hair. She was kneeling over Kalder’s unmoving body, shaking.
“What’s happened!?” I demanded
“It’s Kalder. He fell into a coma!” the girl said, emotion clogging her voice.
