Explanations One-Shot
(Inbetween Final Battle at the School and Wally's arrival in the Cave in Chapter 15)


Artemis closed the book and laid her head on it, drifting off to sleep. She hated Biology. The two things she hated 更多 were biology tests and late-night cramming for biology tests.

Artemis was almost asleep when the phone rang. She cracked open one eye to look at the clock. It was around one o'clock in the morning. She groaned and sat up, heading over to pick up the phone.

"Hello?" she asked sleepily.

"Artemis!"

"Holly? What are 你 doing calling at one in the morning?"

"Oops! I didn't wake 你 up, did I?" 冬青, 冬青树 asked.

"No." Artemis said, unwrapping a peppermint. "I was just...er...taking a break from studying."

"I did wake 你 up." 冬青, 冬青树 said.

Artemis laughed and laid down on the couch. "So what's up girlfriend?" 

"Sam finally asked me out."

Artemis almost choked on her peppermint. 

"Good..good for you." Artemis managed.

"You okay?" 冬青, 冬青树 asked.

"Fine. Fine. I drank some water too fas-"

"Hold on." 冬青, 冬青树 said.

Artemis heard sounds of a conversation on the other end of the line before a new voice came on.

"Artemis?" Sam's gruff voice sounded.

"Long night?" Artemis asked.

"Yeah. I ruined my suit."

"We're talking about the new costume, right Sam?"

"That's the one." Sam said. "Holly blew it up."

"And so 你 thank her 由 asking her out?"

"I wouldn't go quite as far as--"

Sam felt Artemis's look in New York.

"Fine."

Artemis laughed and heard feet on the outside steps.

"Oops! Gotta go! Wally's home!"

Sam smirked as Artemis hung up.

Artemis stood up and was heading for her science 图书 when the door broke down.

"Ah!" Artemis exclaimed, backing up into the refrigerator. 

"The Light will have it's vengeance." a female voice 说 from the shadows. "You're coming with us."

"Wha--" Artemis began, but someone grabbed her from the shadows. 

"Blame all this on your brother."
