Agatha Harkness has some connections to the Salem Witch Trials, during which time she and several of her cohorts (true witches) escaped the Puritan persecution and settled in a protected location somewhere in the Rocky Mountains to the west. Agatha Harkness has extended her life 由 the use of her magic, and has been instrumental in the teaching of other witches in her Coven.
At the behest of her old friend Mystique, she undertook the teaching of the mutant Wanda Maximoff, helping her to focus her powers into something 更多 easily controlled.
After Mystique was transformed into a stone statue, Wanda and Kurt contacted Agatha in the hopes she could restore her to life. Agatha lacked the power, but knew who did: Rogue. Unfortunately for all concerned, Rogue destroyed the statue.
