The Sentinel is Bolivar Trask's ultimate creation, a mutant hunter-killer, capable of both dealing and taking great deals of raw damage. Equipped with only the latest technology that Trask's organization has to offer, even adamantium claws can't do much to penetrate its armor.
The Sentinel has orders to terminate most mutants, but it appears capable of capturing less hostile targets with a strange green goo, shot from a chamber in its left arm, that quickly hardens after engulfing its opponent. That and being armed with a large number of energy rounds and missiles, plus limited propulsion systems in its back and legs, make it a mutant's worst nightmare.
As of now, only the prototype has ever been encountered, and it was destroyed 由 Magneto. But Trask was recently released under the command of Fury to restart his sentinel projects and make more, so it is doubtless they will be back.

Sergeant Hawke is the commanding officer at the quasi-military survival camp known as Ironback. He's tough, surly, and generally very loud. He's almost as tough as Logan is on those in his charge. Almost.
