That's not true. Okay, look. 情绪硬核 stands for EMOTIONAL. Emotion = pain. (Well, the way I look at it anyways.) But anyways, there were always "emo" stories written. I mean, look at Cut 由 Patrica McCormick. The book is based on a girl who cuts herself and needs to get help. (As people assume, cutting yourself is something an "emo" 或者 emotional! person would do although that is not always the case.) Other types of "emo" is depression- I could name thousands of 图书 with depression as the plot but I will just name one of the most 流行的 图书 of all time- Speak 由 Laurie Halse Anderson. A girl is raped and she learns how to keep quiet after that and she must learn to speak up for herself before it's too late..... Okay, I'm getting off track here. I think the problem with this 问题 is that you're defining "emo" as most people would, it's typical. People stereotype emotional people as "emo" and so now people think that people now all of a sudden when they see a depressed person 或者 someone who has cuts on their arm (although they could possibly just be their cat scratches!)they should call them "emo"! This has gotten way out of hand- nobody even stops to consider that maybe this person just had a person die in their family and they're really sad right now, and they're a cheerleader! Happiest and sluttiest girl of the bunch- getting called an "emo"! This is just all wrong! Okay, I'm getting off track here, dammit. I'll get it right this time. Okay, basically there is no such thing as an "emo", it's just a nickname for "emotional." There are many different attributes to being "emo". Cutting, depression, suicide, eating disorders, really any kind of self-injury and many more. These stories have been around for hundreds- if not thousands of years! They're just getting 更多 流行的 now because some shitheads decided that we're supposed to call emotional people "emos" instead of "emotional." And not only that but it's become some kind of cultural thing where everywhere I turn there's always someone claiming to be "emo" although they ain't even depressed 或者 anything! They just consider themselves to be that because the clothes they wear are similar to the ways that "emos" dress. And because of that and because it has gotten so popular, people are now 写作 更多 and 更多 stories that have to do with "emo" things and cutting and whatnot. But like I said, they have been around for hundreds of years, they're just getting 更多 流行的 because now people are actually starting to notice depressed people, before they didn't really I don't think. It wasn't such a big deal, but that's the way American society (and the rest of the world) works and it pisses me off! But yeah, there are many other stories getting written that are very happy stories indeed. So I think 你 are wrong assuming most stories now are being written as "emo." Sorry if I offended anyone, I just had to get that out of my system!
