In the comics, Cornelia and Caleb broke up because Caleb though Cornelia was older, but in truth, that was her guardian form. So, in the end, Caleb went wit Elyon instead.
In the TV series, Cornelia broke up with Caleb because he chose Meridian and duty over her. But they later got together again
