It depends on which vampire story you are reading/watching. Some of them definitely not (for example the Buffyverse vampires. They can have their soul returned to them with an obscure spell, but in general are soulless) some of them maybe, as it's not expressly covered in every story and some vampire characters definitely do (for example Angel)

But I get the impression maybe your question was specifically about if the Twilight vampires, since this is something that varies per story and is usually covered by the writer. If you just meant the Twilight vampires I have no idea, not being a fan, and the question would be better asked on a Twilight specific spot. If you meant all vampires in general then it depends on the story and the writer's preference. If maybe you meant if vampires really existed would they have souls, then I'm not really sure, I'd lean towards no, but that's probably just because in most of my favourite vampire stories they don't :)

In the Cirque Du Freak books, the vampires have their own religion where they have vampire gods. Basically, when a vampire dies, the gods decide whether or not the vampire has lived a good life (never unnessicary killing, ect.). If they have, their souls go to Paradise, which is basically like Heaven. If they have not, they spend eternity in the Lake of Souls, where they are forced to recollect their horrid lives over and over and over again.

id say it depends, i think they could earn one but not have one straight from the begining

id say yes~ if they are trying to mainstream (a term used in true blood) which means they are trying to live in amongst humans. they are trying to rebuild their lives with out killing anyone.. they know they are dead, but they also know that they can choose paths.. i believe that anyone who does not want to kill people has a soul. those that do not want to do this enables the vampires to have morals & values in a society. they can work out what is wright from wrong and use all their energy to stick by it..

I think those vampires who just suck the blood of every human that comes in their way don't have a soul. Those who try to blend in with society, they have something like a soul xD

i watched New moon last night and Edward said no vampire has a soul so he cant love bella the way he wants to!!!!!!!

Because I don't believe in a soul. It's a christian concept, and who you are inside is not your soul.
