------Prologue------
“So, you’re into witches and crap like that,” a voice muttered behind Bonnie. Bonnie helplessly rolled her eyes and turned around to face her speaker.
“Yes, Tyler. I’ve also been hearing things; things about 你 and wolves, full moons…..Ring a bell?” Bonnie said, smiling happily to herself when he flinched. He shook his head.
“I don’t know what crap Elena and her band of happy vampire buddies have been telling 你 but-“
Bonnie interrupted him, “They haven’t told me anything Tyler. There’s been….bodies found.”
Tyler flinched again, his hands tightening on the book he was holding, the pale blue veins underneath his wrists contrasting with the whiteness of his skin.
“How do 你 know that one of the vampire freaks didn’t chow down on a meal while 你 weren’t looking?” Tyler said, plopping down beside her on the wooden bench.
“Because I would just know,” Bonnie said, an edge of annoyance creeping into her tone, “And 你 should just go, I don’t talk to killers.”
Tyler’s eyes widened, and for a moment Bonnie actually felt pity for the guy. But then, Bonnie remembered. He had killed people. He had ripped out their throats with his razor-sharp teeth, he had drunk their blood like a vampire…He had done horrible, terrible things, and all the pity at once left her body. She didn’t pity him. He was what she was supposed to be against. She wanted him dead, 或者 at least the angry part of her did. She just wanted them all dead.
“And how do 你 know all this information anyway; and why aren’t 你 更多 surprised about it?” Bonnie snapped suddenly, the 问题 popping into her brain.
“Because, the Gilbert’s aren’t the only family to keep journals, witch-girl,” Tyler said, smiling at Bonnie as she flinched. Serves the 婊子, 子 right, he thought, but he knew he really didn’t mean it. “And I’ve known for months 由 the way, probably even longer than you. I’m just good at keeping my mouth shut,”
Bonnie rolled her eyes, “Then why are 你 talking to me? It seems to ruin your whole mouth-shut plan…which 由 the way, I liked up until now.”
Tyler laughed lightly, and shook his head. “You really are a crazy girl Bonnie,” he replied.
Bonnie nodded, “And you’re really a jackass.” she replied. Tyler smiled, and Bonnie felt her 心 throb in response. And that was bad; really, really bad.
“Touché,” Tyler said, standing up, clutching a book to his chest. Bonnie’s eyebrow raised, and she pointed to the book.
“What’s that?” she asked, genuinely curious. Tyler smiled once again, and shook his head. “It’s nothing Bonnie. See 你 later?
Bonnie watched him walk off, and she felt her 心 once again beat off tempo. She liked Tyler. Too bad she was going to have to kill him.
