i dont understand why they hate her, i love her coz shes a good actress and she seemed pretty cool in her interviews

I think she's a terrible actress.

Heres how I see it, they hate her because she is playing Bella. Everyone has their own mental image of what they think she looks like, and the ones that don't see Kristen as that girl from their thoughts are the ones that hate her. I don't think they hate Kristen as a person, just for her portrayal of Bella.

Personally I like her, she was good in "In the Land of Women."

I love her because, not only is she honest.. but she doesnt do acting for fame. She does it because it's her passion. She doesn't do it for the money. And, when people say they hate her because she's ungrateful, just because she doesnt promote Twilight is ridiculous. It doesn't mean she cares about it any less. She said Twilight has given her more opportunities to do the things she loves, which is acting. And, when she talks about the fans, she talks about the fans who ask the "How was it to kiss a vampire?" question. Which she doesn't have an answer to. Yeah the question was meant as a joke, but she said she isn't good at jokes and that she overanalyzes the question. She said she ends up offending people which she said she doesn't want to do.

I know this is a rant, but hating her because she doesn't promote Twilight as much as the other cast, i think, is kinda harsh. Cam who played James didn't promote Twilight barely any, but I don't see hateful comments about him? So why hate Kristen?

I can't see why someone would hate her just because she doesn't promote Twilight with every breath she takes. However, Cam wasn't the star of the movie. Kristen was. It's kind of expected for the star of the movie to promote it. Personally, I think it'd be nice if everyone shut up about it for a while - I'm so sick of hearing about Twilight every time I turn the TV on. Also, maybe nobody bitches about Cam because he's actually a good actor? =P

Also, imauser - you've got a valid point about Bella not living up to the standards of those who read the books. But I have a feeling that most of the little 12 year old fangirls that hate Kristen, only hate her because they're not her. ;) I actually thought she looked okay for the part of Bella when they first cast her - then I heard her speak. =P

well, the Twilight buzz has fanned down a bit. But, I'm pretty sure there's gonna be a lot this coming month and then the production of the films. And people just think she's ungrateful which I disagree with.

and I also agree that alot of the people hate her because she was cast as Bella and they're just jealous. and I thought she's an okay actor. She's not the best, but she's pretty good I thought. DarkSarcasm, why do you think she's a crappy actor?

1) Monotone.
2) She either shows no emotion or too much.
3) Everything she does looks too deliberate. It's unnatural.

I have to admit, I read the books after I saw the movie, but I still have my own idea of the way the characters look (and I don't jump around saying "Robert sucks!", just because I don't think he's hot enough to play Edward either xD), and I'm not bothered with that... It's always like this... Just not so bad when it's about some actor/actress who doesn't play in a film that like... everybody's seen...
If you get a percentage of people who hate her now, of all those who saw twilight, the number will be higher than the percentage of people who didn't like her after they saw one/more of her other movies of all those who saw one/more of her movies...

It is sad that people hate other people because they get with someone they like. It's sooooooo wrong! She's a great actress. Isn't that the point?

For DarkSarcasm: well, although I do agree with those points... it's weird because, maybe not in twilight, but all her other acting jobs worked. She did all those things, but they didn't suck. in twilight, she could have done a better job, but i didnt think it was terrible. idk... she's not the worst actress.

ALSO!!! whateve she says in twilight sounds acted and fake. She can't sound good. Even in the fight scene when she is like dying....her acting is pathetic!! she could be screaming more or just better acting. HEAPS of people could do better.

Heyy Emmett person i really dnt think you can talk.. i mean can you act?? i highly doubt it. She can act....

Hmmm. My first impression of her when she appeared on the screen was 'why is her voice so low?' No offence. As a girl, my voice is considered quite low and Kristen's was definitely lower than mine. I've got no problems with girls with low voices but it sounded unnatural in the movie. And her voice *like darksarcsm said* is rather monotonous and i feel it lacks emotions in most scenes.Example: kissing scene, prom, the ballet studio scene, the confrontation in the forest part, and almost every scene with Rob. (I'm not jealous of her ok coz i'm not a really huge rob fan anyway) As an actress, I think she's higher than mediocre but not really awesome.

And Kristen doesn't sound like my version of Bella but she does have this Bella look that I pictured in my head. So, yeah I don't hate her.

i think she struggles with the intensity of the character but altogether people hate her because they have this envious yet perfect picture of who they believe bella is , its the same with edward.. somewhat not the perfection edward is in the books but they are limited with their resources to create their perfected characters leaving much detail out of the movie.

I really don't understand her and it's probably because I dn't know her and never ill but she seems to be extremely ungrateful, rude and totally up herself. I know she has acted before but she must acknowledge that Twilight has rocketed her to A-list but instead she moans about the fame, the fans and so on. Well, if you didn't want fame why go into acting? I hate people who moan about the things they have in life when so many have so little. She NEEDS to be grateful to her fans, not diss them. In addition, as Bella, she is AWFUL! I know from Panic Room and Wild at Heart that she's a good actress but what the hell happened when it came to Bella? Where was the Bella millions loved and could relate to? Where was the range in emotion and facial expression? Where was the portrayal of her intense love for Edward? Throughout the movie she had 2 expressions, confused and annoyed and everytime she spoke I could hear the silent "uch" in her tone like she just couldn't be bothered so there! That's why I hate her and it sucks that something we've waited years for has now been destroyed because of Kirsten Stewart!

I'm just not a fan of her acting style. It has nothing to do with the fact that she's playing Bella; I've taken quite well to many of the actors and actresses whom I had a very specific picture in my head.

I just really don't think she's that fantastic of an actress. I've seen her in some of her earlier productions and was not impressed.

I like her b/c she's Human...so she can't always do everything perfectly...who can?

FallenAngel, if she's ungrateful, how come she's acknowledged the fact many times in interviews that Twilight has launched her career? She's said that it gave her more opportunities to do the thing she loves, which is acting. And she's said before that the fans were great and supportive. She only talks about the fans who ask the ridiculous questions.

im kinda jelous of bella i thought thats y i h8d her, but i figured she doesnt do many emotions,she pulls the same face quite a few times, but i expect its hard 2 act that thing out.

she doesn't have a whole lot of personality, she's just so blah.
i think she's an okay actress, not exactly the best though.
and her voice never sounds very excited when talking about twilight, however, she does say a lot how much twilight has boosted her acting career.

Shes my favourite actress. I love her arkward sort of acting and i think she can do an amazing performaces.

And to be honest, yeah shes the star of Twilight but that doesn't mean she has to go around promoting it all the time, She did her job and thats what matters.

I really love Kristen. I think she is a good actress, she was great in Into the Wild. I love she isnt like all these fake actresses. she doesnt want to be famous, she doesnt want to be a celebrity, she just wants to be an actress and i think this is really great. most of the actors are just actors because they want to be famous or want to be rich. kristen is an actress because it is her passion. many people dislike her for not promoting with a happy face, excited voice and everything like that. I love her for this. she isnt a fake, she is real.
All this Twilight stuff became really crazy while they were filming Twilight and I think she was/is a little bit afraid of this. Some fans are really rude to her and maybe because of this she is cautious and not so open like Rob or Taylor...
I also think she is really nerved of of all the media...is she in love with robert pattinson? does she smoke pot? damn, she has a boyfriend for a very long time and is still together with him- so no, she isnt in love with robert pattinson, they are just friends. she is 18 years old, she is a teenager, many teenagers smoke cigarettes and/or weed....people should really leave her alone, maybe then she is more open to the fans and the media....

I think that she is very good actor and i see nothing wrong with her all you people that dis her your just jelous......

We love her bevause she play Bella. But, she looked like how I pictured her in my head. I don't dislike her, just the way she doesn't embrace twilight and the role she has to play as a promoter; always critsining it, we know the reality Edward doesn't exsist but it's nice to dream. Also for some she gets to act with Rob. Sometimes she is a bit uptight

I didnt even know anyone hated her? Is it becasue she a pot head(if that even true)? I think its cool if she does smoke, becasue that makes her so much more real. I love her, she is gorgeous!

I love her! idk why ppl say she is not good as Bella. She was AWESOME! & if ppl criticize her its just because they are jelous, well maybe not all, but many of them. It just annoys me, cause she is a great actress and have a great taste in clothes, even though she is not a good public speaker I LOVE HER =]
