Hey, Everyone! I'm so sorry I haven't written in a while. Last week of school was for me last week and this week i have been helpin my 老友记 who have mid-terms (which I have none!). So again I apologize, but I have no school untill January 3rd so I will have plenty of 写作 and 阅读 time! :)

Bella POV

"Your hero?" I ran my roller on his wall, not caring to note that it was his spot. He didn't reply for a moment but when he did my breath caught in my throat. Me. I was his....hero? I couldn't help the tears that stung in my eyes. Not wanting him to see me cry, I brought my eyes back to my painting.

I was Edward Cullen's hero. The most beautiful man here on Earth 说 I was his hero. Just because I was a single mother, raising a son, and graduating high school and college. Just because of...

"Edward!" There was a line of sky blue paint running down my nose. Edward was hunched over in laughter. His face was red along with his ears and neck. I ran my hand along my paint roller and pushed it onto his face.

"There." I smiled. "Now 你 have a whole hand."

He dropped his roller into the paint tin and hooked his hands in my sides, digging his fingers.

"Edward!" I laughed as he tickled my sides, and tried getting out of his grasp."Stop."

"I don't know." He was smiling.

"Please!" I begged.

He let go and all of the things to go wrong I started to fall. I felt my foot behold gravity adn I started to gain inches on the floor. Edward's arms wrapped around my and pulled me back to him. My hand was on his now pounding chest, all traces from our laughter only 秒 以前 was gone. His eyes were boring into mine, like he could see my soul, and I could see his. It was bottomless, a black hole, a green abyss. I was drounding in them. When. Now. I was ready. I was done peddling around this. I was to drive right into it.

"When." It came out as nothing 更多 than a whisper.

"What?" His brow creased in confusion.

I stood on my toes to get closer to him. "When." I was inches from his lips. "When. When. When." I crushed my lips to his. I had never felt like this 接吻 Riley. This was new. It was exciting. His lips were soft, warm, addictive.

He pulled back slightly and rested his fourhead on mine. "Bella. Are 你 sure about this?"

I closed my eyes and breathed him in. "I told 你 I would try to fix you. So let me."

He put his hands on this side of my face and lifted my lips to his.



"Bella!" Alice squealed on the other end of the phone.

"Alice, chill. Mason is sleeping. He could might possibly hear you." I laughed.

"Oh, shut up." He laughed. "I'm just so happy for you. I told 你 so. I told 你 so."

"You did." I smiled.

"I would really like to hear 更多 but Jazz is waiting. I'm so sorry."

"No, I'm sorry for calling 你 in the middle of your dinner. We will talk at work Monday."

"Okay. Bye, Bella!"

"Bye!" I sighed and placed my phone back on it's cradle.

Edward and I spent the weekend together. Mason went and stayed with Emmett and Rose. Emmett was in need of some "man" time, and Rose wanted me out with "Dr. Smexy". Edward was pretty smexy.
He had taken me out to lunch after we finished Mason's room, breakfast, 晚餐 and a movie the 日 after. He was on call all 日 today so we had only exchanged a few text messages.

The phone started to ring again so I quickly answered it, afraid it might wake Mason. "Hello?"

"I have to go to New York."

"Edward?"

"I have to go to New York." his voice was strained.

"What? When?"

"I leave tomorrow morning."

"Why do 你 have to go to New York?"

"My little sister. Kate. She's...she's in intensive care. She had a car wreck. She may not live, Bella. I have to go." His words would quiver and his voice would crack.

"Of course 你 have to go, Edward. 你 better not be calling for my permission."

"Bella, I want 你 and Mason to come with me."

"What?"

"I need 你 there. Please, Bella." I knew he was crying. He really did need me.

"Okay." I sighed. "I will get Mason and I a flight out tomorrow afternoon. I will text 你 our landing time tomorrow. 你 will need to pick us up."

"Okay. I will."

"I'm so sorry, Edward." I whispered.

"It's nothing 你 did." He sighed and sniffed.

"You need to get some sleep."

"Okay."

"Good night, Edward."

"Good night, Bella. And thank you."

"You're welcome." I smiled and hung up the phone.

I turned off everything downstairs and made my way up to my room. I pulled mine and Mason's suitcase down out of the 最佳, 返回页首 of my closet and packed them with warm clothes plus extra clothes just incase. I booked our flight for 2:35 departure and finally made my way to 床, 床上 exhausted. Edward was losing everything. His wife, his sister. He needed me 更多 than I thought he did. And I would be there for him.


"You're good for him."

I knew that voice. One I hadn't heard in five years but one I knew 由 heart. "Riley?"

There he was. Sitting on the end of my 床, 床上 looking exactly how I remembered. The slight smile on his face, the blue of his eyes, the sandy hair. "Hi, Bells."

"What are you...how..."

"I came to talk to you. He only lets us in for importent stuff." He nodded his head toward the celing.

"What's so importent?" I crawled over and sat 下一个 to him. He took my hand and held it in his lap.

"You're even 更多 beautiful than I remember." He smiled. "Older, wiser, prettier."

I smiled back and laid my head on his shoulder.

"I'm happy you've found him, Bells. I really am. He's going to be good for Mason."

"Mason already loves him." I sighed. "Riley, I don't know what to do. I don't want things to go to fast but I want more. I don't want to lose you."

"I really, really hate telling 你 this." He sighed.

"What do 你 mean?" I sat up.

"You 爱情 him 更多 than 你 loved me. 你 need him 更多 than 你 needed me. I was never ment to be apart of this life. Your's and Mason's life. Edward was...is."

"What are 你 talking about?"

"You're going to start forgetting alot. A whole lot. 你 will remember a little, but 你 will forget 更多 than 你 will remember. It will almost be as if I never exisited."

"What? No." I shook my head.

"I don't want 你 to forget, Bells. I want 你 to remember everything littl thing. All the way down to the socks I was wearing the 日 we met. But 你 don't. 你 have to forget to 移动 on completely."

"No, Riley, I can't lose you. I won't. I will look at pictures all the time and watch videos.."

"But 你 won't remember. It will just be looking at a 照片 of a stranger 你 met getting coffee. 你 know who they are, but 你 don't rememeber their name."

I grabbed his shirt. "Please. Don't make me forget."

"Bella, I'm so sorry. I 爱情 you, Bella. Tell Mason I 爱情 him too."

I shot up out of the 床, 床上 panting into my dark room. I looked at the picture on my nightstand of Riley and I. I don't remember. He took it away. It's just a picture. I looked at my clock teary eyed. My alarm clock would be going off in a couple minutes. I needed Edward.

I rushed to the computer and switched my flight to an earlier one. I printed out our tickts and jumped in the shower. I blowdried my hair and straighted it. Something I did everyday now that I had gotten it cut. I put on a pair of jeans and a royal blue v-neck sweater with my 浓情巧克力 snow boots.

I woke up Mason nexy, changing him into a sweater and jeans and putting on his boots as well.

"Mommy?"

"Yeah, Sweetie?"

"Are we going somewhere?"

"Yeah, we are. Edward's sister is in the and we are going to go see her. Edward is there." I strapped him in his 座位 and kissed his head.

"Where are we going though?"

"New York." I closed his door and climbed into the drivers side.

"Was Edward sad?" He asked.

"Yeah, Baby. He was very sad."

He frowned. "I don't like it when Edward is sad."

"Neither do I."

"Do 你 know how to make him better?"

I smiled up at him. "I know for a fact that seeing 你 will make him all better."


Carlisle picked us up at airport so surprising Edward would be easier. Mason talked the whole way there just chatting away with him. What was it about Cullen men that had him rambling for hours?

"Just leave your things in the car. We will get them later."

I held Mason's hand as we followed Carlisle up to Kate's room. Edward was standing outside her room, looking through the viewing window watching the doctors piddle around. He must have felt our eyes because his head turned in our direction, his face tear stained and red. Mason let go of my hand and ran full speed into Edward's waiting arms. He held onto Edward's neck as Edward cried into his shoulder. A few of Mason's own tears fell as well.

I walked over slower, watching, but Edward soon saw me and pulled me into his chest. We all stood there crying. Our own little bubble just waiting to be burst with horrid news. But untill then, we would stand here, in eachothers arms, and just cry. Everyone just needed to cry.
