15. Problems
Jacob




Renesmee stared at me while I glared at Mark. He has been messing with this family for too long. I really wanted to tear him to shreds. Then the unexpected happened. I started to walk towards Mark when I was blown back 由 an invisible force.
"Don't. Touch. MARK!!!" Karrie screamed at me. I flew into Edward. Both of us were on the floor, and then we were in the air.
"Karrie, stop, you're killing them!" Renesmee yelled.
I heard myself choking and it looked like Edward was burning. But there was nothing to harm us. No flame was covering Edward, and nothing was around my throat.
"I'm... I'm not doing it!" Karrie cried.
"No, I am," Mark growled.
"Mark, don't do this!" Karrie pleaded.
"No, I won't." He looked at Renesmee. "It's your father that kept me from you," and then he looked at Karrie, "And yours was going to do the same for you."
"Jacob!" Renesmee was crying. Bella ran in.
"Oh, my-" she gasped. Then she concentrated. The flame was removed from Edward and whatever wasn't choking me that was choking me left. So it was in our minds, but our bodies were reacting to it, killing us. Edward looked unconscious. How is that even possible?
"Come with me, Karrie, its time to go," Mark said, grabbing Karrie's arm.
"No! I'll never go with you!"
"Too bad."
There was a force of energy that hit the whole room in waves, blinding us for a second. Then the first and last thing I saw was my daughter, unconscious in his arms. Mark and Karrie faded and disappeared.
Edward and I fell to the ground. Aro and Jane entered the room.
"What happened?" he asked.
"Karrie and Mark disappeared, 你 just missed it," Renesmee sobbed as she tried to restart my heart. Wait, if I'm dead, why am I still here? Jeffery and Casper now entered the room.
"It's a spell. Edward will be okay, his 心 was already stopped. He'll come to in a few minutes. But Dad..." Casper stopped. But Dad what? What's happening to me?
"Dad's 心 stopped. But he's not dead. He's still trapped inside. There is no way we can animate his body, everything has shut down permanently," Jeffery finished.
"What about our way?" Renesmee pleaded. "If I bite him now, what will happen?"
Jeffery closed his eyes. Four 秒 passed and then he smiled.
"Vampire," he said. "Although there may be a chance he can't shift anymore."
"Jacob, I'm so sorry, I know this is against your will, but it's for your own good," Renesmee whispered in my ear. Then I felt the skin on my throat break. She looked up at me, teeth covered in blood, and then bent down to do the other side. I felt blood flow to the ground, pooling around my head. Renesmee was staring into my eyes. I wish I could touch her face, tell her I was fine, but my arms couldn't move. Then I felt a burning inside of me, excrutiating.
"Alec," Aro whispered. "Cut off his senses, he's paralyzed, and it seems horrible to have him suffer like that."
Then everything disappeared. Including Renesmee's beautiful face.

Then I saw her again. I took in a deep, breathful of air.
"Jacob," she breathed in relief. She pressed her lips to mine as hard as she could.
"Renesmee, am I-" I asked.
"Yes. I had to change you. Mark is gone, along with our daughter. My parents and our kids were 给 permission to leave, so they can find them. I wanted to stay, so I'll be here when 你 woke up."
"We have to find them!"
"Okay, just drink some blood, first. It's nighttime, but there's humans up there. I don't know if you'll be in control enough to 交叉, 十字架 through the city. And I can't hold 你 down."
She gave me packages of animal blood. I looked at her.
"It's deer blood."
I ripped it open with my teeth and drank it, not exactly enjoying the flavor.
After all of the packets were downed, and the burning in my throat subsided, I was ready to destroy the one thing that threatened my family 更多 than the Volturi.
