So here's the first of the storie(s) that I might put up tonight. Enjoy!!
End of Part 17
"I am beginning to wonder about Dr. G. I think he might have been one of us." I 说 softly as everyone turned to look at me.
"Why do 你 think that dear?" Esme asked.
"Well there's a few things, he never goes in the sun and I realized that even in the journal. He was very protective over me, and when James arrived Dr. Gordon was very insistent that I get back in the building...away from James." I explained.
"Interesting, well I suppose the only way to be sure of that would be to continue reading." Edward said.
"Yeah, I know..but for some reason I'm scared. I mean obviously I know how it ends but still it makes me nervous." I 说 as I looked around to the family that was very supportive.
"I think it might make it easier if I was around 更多 people when this is read. If anyone would like to stay then can hear the 下一个 entry, but it would be easier if someone else read it." I 说 softly.
Everyone looked around the room and quickly I realized that no one was going to leave. They were all going to stay and support me through this time.
"Thank 你 all. Esme 或者 Rosalie would 你 mind?" I 说 as I motioned to the book that was on the table.
They both looked at each other, neither of them reaching for the book. We all just sat there for a 分钟 before Rosalie grabbed the book and opened it and began reading.
Part 18
"Are 你 sure Alice?" Rosalie asked as she took the small battered book in her hands.
"Yes, please Rose. I want to know but can't get myself to read it anymore." I 说 as I settled into the 长椅, 沙发 with Jasper.
"Alright." She 说 softly as she leaned against Emmett and opened the book.
"It's dated September 1st." She 说 quietly.
"That's a 月 later, just so 你 all know. The last entry was August 3rd." I 说 as I looked around and informed everyone. "Go ahead Rose, I won't interrupt." I said. Rosalie looked around once 更多 before beginning.
"It has been a 月 since my last entry, and that is because a lot has changed. Where to start? Hmmm well...let's see.
My mother and sister came back one 更多 time, they stayed for quite a few hours. Father had found them a large house out of town with a stable and grounds for horses. Cynthia was very excited, she wanted a horse and 说 that she would take care of mine until I got there.
My mother was quiet, she finally admitted that father had demanded that they stay away, that their coming to see wasn't helping my improvement. However; mother was not going to leave town without seeing me one 更多 time.
When the time came for them to go Cynthia wrapped her arms around me tightly and wouldn't let go. I told her that it was hard to breath and she just hugged me tighter. Mother had to separate us, the tears running down our faces. Mother hugged me tightly and kissed my cheeks before bidding me goodbye.
I stood and watched them walk out, thinking for some reason that this would be the last time I would see them. I ran all the way back to my room, scared because I truly felt alone now. I always did to a point but now that they 说 their goodbyes it was so much 更多 real.
I threw myself on my 床, 床上 and cried until I fell asleep, when I woke up Jennifer was waiting outside my door. I opened it slowly and looked down at her, she was sitting on the ground outside the door.
"What are 你 doing?" I asked.
"Well, 'Dr. G' was worried about you. He 说 that your family came yesterday and 你 were having a hard time. I thought I would come check on you." She 说 as she smiled up at me.
"Thanks, I'm ok." I mumbled.
"I can tell. Come on let's go eat." She 说 as she stood up and led me down the hall to the cafeteria.
We went through line and got our breakfast of oatmeal, an 橙子, 橙色 and sausage. She led the way back to an empty 表 in the back. She sat down and started pealing her orange.
"Well, how are 你 honestly? Don't go telling me that 你 are alright either." She 说 as she shot me a look across the table.
"They aren't coming back anymore." I 说 softly as I stirred my oatmeal, avoiding her gaze.
"Oh Mary, I'm so sorry." She 说 as she got up and came over to my side of the 表 and gave me a gentle hug.
The hug was the last straw, I felt the tears building up in my eyes and before I knew it I was lying in her lap sobbing uncontrollably. She just held me and let me cry myself out, and when I did she handed me some napkins so I could dry my eyes.
"I don't understand how anyone could walk away from you. You're a very sweet, nice, caring young woman. It really makes me mad." Jennifer 说 as she hugged me one 更多 time before returning to her table.
We sat and ate our breakfast without another word, both of us thinking. I had so many 问题 going through my head, one of them escaped my lips.
"Jennifer can I ask 你 a question?" I 说 quickly.
"Do 你 need to ask? Of course 你 can, what is it?" She 说 as she smiled at me.
"Last time that my mother and sister were here...well after they left someone I don't know came over. Have 你 ever met a James?"
"James, hmmm yes I think I have seen a James before. Is he in his 20's with blondish hair, medium build?" She asked.
"Yes, and he was very pale, I wonder if he is sick. Anyway who is he?" I wondered.
"I'm not sure who he is, he comes around occasionally. Whenever he does it seems like 'Dr. G' gets 更多 upset." She 说 as she realized all this.
"Yeah, he came over and we started talking. All the sudden Dr. Gordon was in the doorway yelling my name telling me it was time to get inside. Like there was a hurry."
Jennifer nodded and gathered our dishes together. "It's time for your meeting with him, ask him about it."
I nodded, that was a good idea. There were so many things I wanted to know 更多 about, and I hoped that he would be honest and answer a few questions.
I ran to the offices where we had our weekly seasons, knocking softly on the door.
"Come in Mary." Dr. Gordon's voice called from the other side of the door.
I opened the door and walked in, the office was rather large. The walls were lined with shelves that held 更多 图书 then I had ever seen before. There was a dark leather 长椅, 沙发 against the far 墙 that looked like it had seen better days. Finally, there was a big dark wooden 台, 办公桌 with a large fluffy chair. It looked like it would be rather comfortable to sit in, but that was 'Dr. G's' chair. I walked over and sat in one of the two chairs that were across from his desk.
"I saw your family was here yesterday." He stated.
"Yes sir, they came to say goodbye. They moved out of town to a ranch, Cynthia is training a horse for me for when I get out." I 说 as I smiled.
"Excellent, I hear 你 have a few 问题 for me." He 说 as he leaned 前锋, 期待 in his chair.
Jennifer must have ran and beat me here, she must have told him about my questions. How else would he have known all of this?
"Yes sir, I was just wondering who James is?" I 说 rather matter of factually.
"Hmmm James. Yes it would be best for 你 to stay away from him. He's not safe, he seemed to be interested in 你 though." He 说 更多 to himself then to me.
"Is he a patient here? I hadn't seen him before that day. He was very pale, so I thought he must be sick...right?" I asked.
"No he is not a patient, I think he was just here to visit. I'm sorry Mary but we have to end this conversation here for now. Please go back to your room, please." He 说 as he stood up and wrung his hands like he was worried.
I nodded and turned to the door. "Did I do something?" I wondered.
"No Mary, 你 didn't do anything wrong. I just have a lot to think about, please go back to your room now." Dr. Gordon 说 as he turned back to watch me leave.
I walked out the door and then began running to my room. There was something going on, and people were not giving me any answers.
I laid on my 床, 床上 when I had the first vision in a long time. It was James walking towards me slowly, a strange smile on his face as he reached out to me. I heard a sound I didn't recognize then I saw myself lying on the ground, two people fighting just outside my vision.
I opened my eyes quickly and looked around the room scared, now it seemed like every shadow held someone 或者 something."
That must have been all that was written because Rosalie stopped reading. I opened my eyes and noticed that the entire family was staring at me with shocked expressions on their faces. I shook my head slowly and closed my eyes, trying to take everything in.
