End of Part 24

I realized at that moment that I was in 爱情 with this woman. I had hurt her and her family, yet they all came out to find me and make sure that I was ok and didn't hurt my family. Yet when she saw me she wanted to comfort me and that meant 更多 then anything in the world.

Our 吻乐队（Kiss） began to get a bit too intense, my hands moving up and down her back as her hands knotted in my 衬衫 and held me close to her.

Someone cleared their throat and someone else laughed quietly. I kissed her one 更多 time before grinning and turning back to the rest of the family.

"Oops." I said.

"That's one way of saying it." Edward 说 as he laughed again.

"Emmett, I believe 你 wanted to talk to Carlisle about your idea?" He asked as he stood up to let Rosalie and Esme sit on the tree.

I turned back to look at their faces, how could I think they were monsters? All of the caring, concerned people who looked 更多 like something from a painting then the monsters that I had imagined while running.I took a deep breath before turning to face Carlisle and hopefully convincing them that I could see my family from a distance, for what could be the last time.

"Ok Carlisle, I understand your idea of not wanting me to go back and see my family. Edward explained it all to me, and I truly do understand. However; I was wondering if there was a way that I could go there and watch them from afar." I asked.

"We were thinking that we...I mean he could go outside the property and just watch them, so he knows that they are all right before we move." Edward said.

"Yes, I was thinking just being able to know that they are doing alright would be amazing. I didn't leave on the best terms, I fought with my father.." I 说 as the memory of our last encounter returned.

"Emmett, it's ok." Rosalie 说 as she hugged me.

"I just, we just didn't have very nice things to say to each other and now that they think I am dead. Please could I go and just make sure they are ok?" I pleaded.

"Emmett, I don't know. I know that 你 would not mean to hurt anyone in your family, but 你 are so new still." Carlisle said.

"I could go with him." Rosalie 说 as she smiled up at me.

That meant a lot, her saying that she would go with me. I really wish that I could introduce her to my family, I knew that my mother would 爱情 her and my sisters would too after they got over the jealousy. Oh and my brothers..wow they would not believe it. I had to laugh, thinking about how they all would respond to her.

Edward laughed and shook his head. "Yeah, she gets jealousy a lot. And she enjoys it." He 说 under his breath.

I smiled at Edward, realizing that his mind 阅读 might not be that bad...as long as I could keep my thoughts away from Rosalie and the way she looked. Like right now how the wind was blowing her blond hair around her face and the sun glistened off her skin, making it look like porcelain. How she looked this morning, the sheet...

"Emmett!!! You're right it's not that bad, but FOCUS!" He 说 as he threw a stick at me.

"Oh..yeah...sorry." I 说 as I tried to focus.

"I would be willing to go with too Carlisle. I could keep him in check, well I would try." Edward 说 as he threw another stick in my direction.

"Well Emmett, it sounds like 你 have the support of these two. If 你 can promise that 你 won't try to interfere with them 你 could do this. Just to make sure I think it would be best if I came along as well." Carlisle suggested.

"Thank 你 Carlisle." I 说 softly.

"Esme? Do 你 want to come too?" Rosalie asked.

"Hmmm no thanks, no offense Emmett dear. I just have things to take care of if we are planning on leaving. I hope 你 have decided to stay with us, for a while." She 说 as she walked over and hugged me gently.

I smiled down at her and she went back to Carlisle and started talking very quietly. I tried to make out what they were talking about, but just when I focused on them they stopped, he kissed her and she took off back towards town.

"Alright Emmett, are 你 sure 你 can do this?" Carlisle asked as he straightened his jacket.

"Yes sir, I think I can. But will 你 help if I start to loose control?" I asked as the fear of hurting my family began to sink in.

"You won't loose control, that is your family. 你 wouldn't hurt them, I know 你 wouldn't." Rosalie 说 as she grabbed my hand and squeezed it.

"No I won't, can we go?" I asked.

Carlisle smiled and nodded at Edward, the two of them obviously having a silent conversation again. They both took off running, and after a few hours they slowed down and let Rosalie and I take the lead since we knew the way.

We ran to the outskirts of the property, when we finally stopped Edward and Carlisle 分裂, 拆分 off and went in different directions. I watched them both leave wondering what was going on.

"Where are they going?" I wondered.

"They are just making sure that none of your family is out in the woods, they're trying to make this as easy on 你 as possible." She 说 as she rose on her toes and kissed my jaw.

"Oh...I get it." I 说 as the reality of all of this sank in. They were out running the property making sure that none of family members were out in the woods so that I wouldn't be tempted to hurt them. I swallowed loudly, the fear returning.

"You won't hurt anyone, I know 你 won't. Come on, let's get closer." She 说 softly as she lead me 由 hand closer to the farm.

"My mother and sisters would 爱情 you, they would take to 你 instantly." I 说 as we slowed to a walk.

"I would have liked to meet them." She said.

We sat in the brush just off from the pole 谷仓 that was beside the house, the 谷仓 that I had hit and broken my hand in. I could see a few people moving from building to building, and was surprised at how clear they were to me even from a distance.

I could see my brothers Phillip, Michael and John, they were all moving 干草 from one building to another. I saw my sister Patricia and Carol come out of the house, wringing their hands in their aprons.

I smiled at them all, I didn't realize how much I missed them until I saw their faces. I felt myself starting to stand when I felt two strong hands come down on my shoulders and push me back down.

"Emmett, please remember. They don't know 你 anymore, 你 aren't the same person. We can only watch." Carlisle whispered behind me.

I took a deep breath and realized he was right, I couldn't stomp out of the woods and go hug my annoying sisters like I so badly wanted to. I couldn't go running into the 谷仓 and knock over the 干草 bales just to make my brothers mad.

I sat back on my heels and took a deep breath, I didn't realize how hard this was going to be. I closed my eyes and focused on what I had promised, I couldn't go out there, I couldn't interact with them I could only watch...like a ghost.

I looked to my right and saw Edward frown and nod, obviously he had heard that and agreed with me. Is that what we were going to have to be, nothing 更多 then ghosts? Something that could never be seen, but could watch another life go by?
