Chapter 7 - Different
    “Never mind. Its not important.” he 说 regretfully.
    I was slightly crushed that something so unimportant is something he wouldn’t share with me. If it wasn’t important then why be so secretive?
“ Please tell me. 你 can trust me.” I 说 convincingly, 或者 so I thought.
“ I know that I can trust 你 but I am still not sure if I should tell 你 或者 not. I don’t know if it is the right time but I don’t know any better time, either.” he 说 seeming torn between something that was way 更多 than what he was telling me.
“Like 你 said, what better time than now?” I was practically begging.
“ Okay if I tell you, promise me 你 will be open minded and think very carefully about what I am going to say.” he pleaded with me.
“ I promise.” I said, holding my right hand up in a mock girl scout salute. He smirked, obviously he was serious. “Sorry.” I muttered.
“ Okay here it goes. My family is not like you. My sister, Carmen, she reads minds. That’s how she knew that 你 were noticing things.” he explained with cautious eyes. I nodded.
“ Colleen can manipulate feelings and emotions, which is why 你 feel serene and 安全 with her. And Jacob can influence 你 to do things. Anything, suicide, murder, 或者 just simply blinking.” He proceeded very cautiously, watching my every expression. I kept my face smooth because, truly, I wasn’t very afraid.
“ Leo, he can control the elements. Wind, water, fire, theearth and weather, things like that.” Once again, he was guarded.
“ What about yours?” I thought it was an innocent enough question. I thought wrong.
    He tensed up and got an angry look in his eye. His breathing stopped and his jaw clenched. I was surprised and a little bit scared to tell the truth.
“Mine doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter.” he 说 sternly when I opened my mouth to protest. I let it go, he would have to tell me someday.
“ Are 你 going to eat that ever?” he asked teasingly, his bad mood gone as quick as it had come.
“ Um.. Not really, sorry.” I admitted, embarrassed.
“ Why should 你 say sorry? 你 did nothing wrong. If I had kept my mouth shut I wouldn’t have repulsed 你 and 你 wouldn’t have 迷失 you’re appetite.” He seemed ashamed and his face was full of mortification.
“Actually, 你 do the exact opposite of repulse me. You… there aren’t words really. I feel totally 安全 and untouched while I’m with you. I feel like I am accepted and I fit in when I’m with 你 and Colleen, too.” I have known Stefan for barely a week and I am confessing my dangerous obsession with him to his face. I am totally crazy. I felt so stupid. What is wrong with me? He could never feel that way about me and I am just going to cause myself 更多 pain when he says he doesn’t. Guess what? Once again, I was so wrong.
    Then he did the unexpected. He snapped up out of his chair, knocking it over. He threw a one hundred dollar bill down on the 表 and yanked me out of my 座位 with inhuman strength. He pulled me out the door and towards the car, only we didn’t get in the car. He towed me straight across the road with people honking all the way and into a small clump of woods behind an elementary school.
    To be honest, I was terrified. He would never hurt me but what was he going to do. He abruptly turned and looked at me with a look that was…. Passion? He put his hand roughly on my neck and bent his face to mine.
    “ My family and I, we’re vampires. We drink human blood that we get from the blood bank. We are not murderers but we are dangerous.” he 说 this like he wanted me to believe and run, and also to believe and not.
    “ I… It doesn’t matter that much to me.” I 说 hesitantly.
    “ Doesn’t matter?” he was guarded again. “No.” I stated strongly.
    Just then, a wild look came into his eyes and his kissed me. Not a normal 吻乐队（Kiss） either. This 吻乐队（Kiss） was electric. His cool, satin lips pressed against mine roughly and gently simultaneously. His tongue touched my bottom lip and my lips parted slowly as I sighed. I was kind of embarrassed 由 the sigh but he didn’t seem to notice, in fact he let out his own. My hands curled in his hair and his hand that wasn’t under my jaw, curled around my waist, pressing our bodies together in a natural way. Our breathing quickened and I felt hungry for him. I moved one hand from his hair and put it around his lower back and pulled him closer. He sighed again and pressed my back up against a tree. We stopped for air and then we continued our kissing. Eventually, we both knew we would have to stop sooner 或者 later, so we did.
    “ Um.. Wow. What did I do to get that?” I asked, still breathing heavily.
    He looked at me seriously and 说 in his 天使 voice, “ 你 didn’t do anything. I 爱情 you, that’s all.”
