CHAPTER 13: The Desperate Kingdom Of Love...

I looked at Mile, who was freeing himself, and then I looked back at Mandy who was surrendering. I then blinked twice, and pulled the trigger! The bullet flew out of the chamber, as I flinched at the sound of it, and I looked at Mandy. Her eyes widened for the quickest second, and she fell to the ground. I dropped the gun, and my legs buckled beneath me. I fell to the floor with a thud, and Mile rushed over to me. He looked at the wound, and he was yelling his head off. Screaming infact. But then ev erything drowned out to the sound of sirens blaring into the Motel's appartment. My eyes fluttered, and then they shut completly. And then I didnt do 或者 see anything else, but black.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------I dropped to my knees as Mandy was shot to the ground, and Kandice fell to the floor. Blood pooled out of them both, and I didn't know what to do. I rused over to Kandice's side, just as the sirens of cop cars and ambulances blared into the parking lot of the Motel. I stayed at Kandice's side, and her eyes fluttered. Then they closed as the first cop walked into room 6. I let them carry Mandy and Kandice out of room 6 on stretchers, and I watched them loaded into two 救护车 trucks. I got into the one with Kandice, inside after telling the cops about Mandy and her history with Kandice and I. They made sure that they would lock her up if she was okay, they couldnt tell right now. I closed the 救护车 truck door, and looked out the window as the cops started to investigate the crime scene. I saw news trucks and cars pull in, while reporters and journalists rushed out of there cars and trucks, even before the vehicles were in park! They ran over to the scene with the camera men following behind, and the police men put the tape up and blocked there way into the room. I stared at them as one reporter saw me, and ran to the back of the truck bangning on the window, and demanding 答案 to her questions. I waved once, keeping the same sad face on, and the truck pulled off after the hospital. It seems like yesterday I was just there! Oh, wait a minute. I was just there yesterday. I looked back at the nurses and doctors doing everything they can and could to help stop the bleeding of Kandice's wound. I couldn't help but feel tears rise to the surface, but that wasn't possible. Not now, 或者 not here. Oh who am I kiddng. I let the tears overflow the lines, and they started to stream down my face. I then could see the laughing smirk on Mandy's face, and hate along with anger filled me up to the top. I wanted to go to her, and kick the living snot out her. But shes in another van, and now its nto possible either way. I almost got killed today, and yesterday, and Kandice I might lose. We got to the hospital in minutes, and I was forced to go to the Waiting Room. I stayed there for the rest of the night. Worrying. About me. Kandice. And Mandy. Which is strange, cause even though I hate Mandy...I gotta make sure she doesnt wake up. 或者 live. But if she does, since I'm not a killer like her, then Kandice and I have to be on our feet and out of here in seconds! But even if she doesn't live, we got to be out of here still. We gotta' live like the 日 Kandice and I met to now never happened! And hopefully she will awaken 由 tomorrow. My eyes closed, and I fell into a deep sleep.

-------------I awoke to the sound----------------
of bells ringing inside my head. I couldn't beleive it, but it wasn't normal bells. Church bells were the ones I herd. I then saw light. I ran toward it, and found myself at a Church. I felt stiff clothes holding me in a straight balance. I was wearing a suit. I walked 前锋, 期待 to a group of people under a tent. It was a funeral! But for who? I walked forward. It was raining, and I was getting soaked. I finally got to the 最佳, 返回页首 of the 爬坡道, 小山 where everyone was at. I walked under it, dripping with water, and I saw a picture of Kandice on the 最佳, 返回页首 of the coffin. My eyes got watery, and I started to cry. I fell to my knees, and not one person noticed me. I threw my head back and started to scream.
-------------------------------I awoke with someone shaking me! It was the doctor. He was gently shaking me. I got up, and he pointed me to Kandice's room. I went to her 床, 床上 side, and she took my hand. I then realized the funeral was a dream. I sighed in releif. She held my hand.
"You okay?" I asked her.
"Yeah, I am. You?" She asked me back.
"I'm fine. Mandy, I dont know though. We haven't heard about her yet. I am SO sorry for bringing 你 into this." I 说 and sat on the edge of her bed.
"What? Its not youre fault. She brough it on herself. Think of it as payback! She got what she diserbed! Trust me! Its not the right thing to do, but I had to. She was gonna get away, and everything would repeat itself until one 或者 both of us were dead. I just finished the HUGE game early!" Kandice 说 and I laughed a little.
"Hey, I never found out...what are 你 really?" She asked me.
"Oh, I'm a...a..." I started.
"WERE LOSING HER DOC!" A voice yelled from the hall. I dropped Kandice's hand, and rushed to the door. I threw it open to see who and what they were talking about. And a stretcher zoomed past us. Mandy was in it, and she was covered in blood. I stared in dis-belief, and I was sure enough MANDY would stick this one out. I closed the door, and I went back to Kandice. I took her hand in mine, and we sat there talking. Kandice and I forgot to finish the question: What am I really? Since I'm not human, what am I? What is Mile!?
