CHAPTER TEN: Pulling The Trigger part one...

I felt the bullet race toward me, and I wanted to jump out of the way, but I thought she shot it at Kandice. But when I was about to jump and tackle her to the ground, the bullet struck me in the stomach. Blood stained my shirt, and I fell to my knees. I heard Kandice scream and try to run to me, but Mandy wouldn't have it. She pointed the gun at her, and then sirens of cop cars started up. She dropped the gun, and threw the 刀 at Kandice. Then I fell on my face. Blood pouring out of my body. I heard the 宝马 drive away, just when the cop cars pulled in. Kandice was at my side, and had one hand on the ground, and the other on my back. The blood pooled around me, and the cops ran over as Kandice started to scream out: HELP! HELP US PLEASE!
------------------------------------------------- I was rushed to the hospital, and I couldn't help but notice the fear in Kandice's voice.
"Is he gonna' be okay?" She asked the doctor. And then the doctor replied.
"He should be. Lucky we got there in time! Otherwise, he could be dead right now! But he should be okay, the bullet hit him, but its like something hit the bullet. Like his skin is bullet proof! But nobody's skin is like that! He's lucky this 'MANDY' chick didnt shoot the bullet at his heart. We need this room in five minutes, to get the bullet out, so please...go wait in the waiting room. Get some rest in your body. Eat and drink something from out vending machines." He 说 and Kandice's shoes scrapped the floor as she headed to the Waiting Room. The door closed, and then everybody came in to work on me! Mile. But even as Kandice was worried about me, somehow I was worried about her!

I sat in the waiting room, and heard the TV talking about the shoot out already! I watched and listened carefully. The reporter said:
"A local boy and a local girl-theres a possiblilty they are related 或者 boyfriend and girlfriend-that were found at the local river here downtown. The girl has been stabbed in the leg, while the guy has been shot in the stomach. The girl has clamed a woman named MANDY who is the boss of The Fear, has tried to kill them both. But MANDY was no where to be found. The girl says she drove off in a black BMW, but there is and was no sign of a 宝马 pulling in 或者 out of the river parking lot. They will be asked 问题 as soon as they are better, and taken care of. Thats all, back to 你 Sandy." I then took my eyes away from the TV, and tuned my ears off of the sound.
"Well, thats a shame isnt it Kandice!?" A voice said. My head whipped around to see who 说 that, and noticed it was Mandy. My eyes widened, and she looked at me in pleasure.
"Oh, to many people to kill 你 here. Its your lucky 日 Kandice, so calm down. Anyway, I was wanting to talk to you." Mandy 说 and sat 下一个 to me in the 座位 to my left.
"About?" I asked her.
"You and Mile. . . .Why are 你 so protective of him? And, did he tell 你 his secret yet?" Mandy asked me.
"Uh...Becaues he's my friend. When I was in The Fear, I was worried that I was dead, and I wouldnt get out. But he saved me from this killer 或者 attempted murderer, and he brought me there for help. And then I started to worry that that place was weird. Not a real hospital. So I talked to Jackson and he told me the truth. Thats when Mile and I started to talk and brainstorm ways to escape. Little did I know 你 were behind it every step of the way. And 你 had a way of knowing what we were doing. And no, he hasnt told me his secret yet. Which is?" I explained.
"Hes not who 你 think he is. I dont want 你 dead Kandice, trust me. But I guess I'm a little late for trust. But hes the one I need to kill, dont 你 see? Hes not..." She trailed off.
"He's not what?" I asked.
"He's not...he's not...he's not human, Kandice! He's not human. I'm sorry." She said.
"Then, if Mile isn't human, then what is he?" I asked about to laugh.
"He's a..." She began.
"Kandice! Mile is awake," A doctor interupted. "You can see him now if 你 want!" He 说 and walked away.
"I should go see him now, stay away. Bye Mandy!" I 说 and walked to Mile's operating room.
