Humans are their prey so they are made to appear as appealing as possible to lure them in. It's basically so they're equipped to be the ultimate predator. You'd be much 更多 suspicious if they were ugly.

thats cool and all but what about when some of them change? guess thats why they have to glimmer them.

well 1st they arnt real so S.M thought beauty would go better then ugly! and 2nd bella would have never noticed edward if he was beautiful (not to say thats all that matters) but she noticed him from across the room and was curious cuz of his families Hottness lol
