Why are Jacob & Bella considered as "soul mates" if there was no Edward?

In Eclipse, Bella did say that Jacob would be her soul mate if they were in the normal world.

However, that never made sense to me. Also, Bella loving Edward and Jacob at the same time made me even 更多 confused.

Bella loves Edward. But she also loves Jacob just not as much as she loves Edward. Jacob thinks he loves Bella 更多 than Edward, but really, he loves Bella and Edward's unborn child Renesmee. So what were Bella's feelings for Jacob? Jacob never loved Bella like he claimed. His 爱情 was for Renesmee.

So the major flaw in this situation is... Stephenie Meyer's writing. She still fails to explain this without people getting so confused. The 前一个 question: "What were Bella's feelings for Jacob?" This right here, since Jacob never actually loved Bella in that way, that pull was always for Renesmee, makes Bella seem ignorant and shallow.

Even if Bella 说 she loved Jacob in a non-brotherly way, there was a better way to establish that "love." Not once in Eclipse did Bella ever hint to us, the readers, that she saw Jacob in a different way. What Bella thinks, we read. Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, 2/3's of Breaking Dawn, yet in Eclipse, when she 说 she was trying to keep her feelings hidden for Jacob, we should have read that. A little hint, 或者 fallback saying that Jacob was 更多 to a brother to her. But it never 说 she loved him. Not until after he forced her to 吻乐队（Kiss） her.

This is the confusion that Stephenie Meyer created. And your question... NO. Twilight is not Bella and Jacob's story. To be honest, that's somewhat of a ridiculous theory haha Twilight started off as Bella's story. But, when it evolved into Bella and Edward's story, but still being told through Bella's thoughts.

They arn't considered soulmates. They loved eachother, but they weren't in love.

I think 你 might be confusing story lines....Jacob and Bella were never considered 'soulmates'....Bella loved Jacob but it was "brotherly" 爱情 than real love...Jacob did 爱情 Bella but as it turned out was "in" 爱情 with the part of Bella that would become Nessie.

If there had been no Edward...I dont think Bella and Jacob would have been anything 更多 than friends...

Yeah, I hate how Bella claimed they were soulmates. A soulmate is the deepest level of love, so obviously Jacob isn't her soulmate, he's just a good friend, I don't care what she claims, she's fickle, confused and highly unintelligent in matters of love.
