Perfect ♥ Best love story I've ever seen ♥

Of course <3 they are my otp for a reason I love that they are from different worlds and he ends up being the first one to see the real her and they bring out the best of eachother :)

Ehhh... their story is kind of all over the place. Seasons 1-2 are decent, they did a good job portraying/writing the downfall of their first relationship, and the build up of their later second time around together. Season 3 was okay storyline wise, but they were a mess as a couple (IMO).

But season 4 is where their story started getting really rocky. Brooke spends the first part of the season ignoring Lucas, and refusing to be friends with him. Then they supposedly call a truce, and agree to be friends... yet they still spend the rest of the season not really being friends, or even having scenes together for that matter. Then we get this random friendship scene in the finale, that seemed to come out of nowhere.

Then season 5 comes around, and after not seeing each other for 4 years, they are magically like BFF's the whole season. Then we come to find out that she's apparently even an option for PROPOSAL in the season finale? lol strange. Made no sense at all, really.

THEN season 6 comes around, and their extremely close season 5 friendship is not only dropped in a split second... but they barely even acknowledge that the other exists throughout the whole season.

...so, as I said, their story is kind of all over the place IMO lol.

so inconsistent..especially the later seasons. it became very clear that any BL scenes shown at all were only thrown in for their fans...not for the sake of logic. they were always an "off and on", "hot and cold" type of couple. but S4-S6 were just ALL over the map, in terms of storyline, and relationship for BL lmao. they didn't make hardly any sense at all.

They were pretty cute but it was clear he always loved Peyton more and didnt really know Brooke.

i don't think they were written very well. chad&sophia did all the work, & made them amazing.

I love their story

Leyton are my OTP but I can't say that I never appreciate Brucas. According to me, it's clear that they were not meant to be together but they had some cute scenes and epic ones (82 letters, very end of season 2, the rain scene) and I liked them in season 3.

I really love them but writers kinda screwed them up.

The had some cute moments but overall their story wasn´t that great, with all the lying, cheating, playing games, not trusting each other, not understanding each other and so on.

Because usually, it's how it happens in real life as well.
I don't see the screwing.

Never bought into their story.

I'd give them a 4. Basically what carambolas said! Some of their scenes are among my favorite OTH scenes ("I forgive you", season 2 finale, rain kiss). But overall, their story wasn't that great.

In season 2, I thought that Lucas and Brooke had really great build up. I enjoyed their friendship, and it was believable, in my opinion, that Lucas fell in love with her. Their relationship in season 3, for the most part, was well-written. In season 4, things starting going wrong. I already talked about Peyton's part in Brucas's downfall in the Lucas and Peyton pick for this same question, so I'll focus on Lucas and Brooke. Lucas, after being told to stay away from Peyton, begins spending lots of free time with her. I'm not saying that Brooke should get to tell Lucas who to be friends with, but Peyton clearly had ulterior motives (i.e. that creepy scene where she cut Brooke out of the picture of the three of them). Peyton was the same girl who went behind her back with Lucas once before, and then confessed her feelings for him. Lucas originally said that Brooke was the one he wanted standing next to him when his dreams came true, but then suddenly he wanted Peyton? After spending the entirety of season 3 in love with Brooke, Lucas decides he wants Peyton. WTF? From season 5 on, Lucas and Brooke's relationship was bashed by the writers. (i.e Brooke was a footnote in Lucas and Peyton's love story; 86 letters) It was completely unnecessary to bash Brucas just because Lucas and Peyton were going to end up together. If Lucas and Peyton's relationship doesn't hold up without insulting Brucas, then that's a problem. The writers did not have to act like Lucas and Brooke's relationship meant nothing, and that everyone knew that Leyton were meant to be all along. Lucas and Brooke also had a close friendship in season 5 which randomly disappeared in season 6. And then there was the pretty girl incident. I just don't think think that's right to bash couples in-universe, period.

Their relationship was all about sex & attraction in S1 and insecurities, trust issues and lots of words in S3. They have some cute moments but they are ruined by the constant need of reassurance of their sentiments towards each other. Their relationship is not stable in my eyes and was just a high school story.

Not perfect but rarely relationships can be perfect
