They basically laid the foundation for couples like Leyton (who I surprising dislike even though love FAB) who follow in that "meant to be" storyline. Its like if a girl can believe she's fated to be with a man based on a yearbook signing, follow him 3000 miles to college, make the biggest ass out of herself on numerous occasions, and somehow in the end they actually do end up together...then the possibilities are endless.
