What happens to Pam?

If anyone has read the The Southern Vampire Mysteries, could they tell me what happens to Pam in the books? Like does she have alot of big roles, any interesting scenes with Eric, near death experiences, 或者 relationships? I know, I know, I should actually read them, and I'm on the third book, but the I'm dying to know! Thanks in advance (;
