Is it weird for me to go from being a long time DxC 粉丝 to a DxG fan?

No way! It is totally not weird! I actually did the same thing. Back when TDI came out, I was a hardcore TxG shipper and I actually liked DxC, but then TDA came and I jumped on that DxG bandwagon in a blink of an eye!
I agree with what 你 said. I feel like DxC was really lustful. Duncan went after what he couldn't have and Courtney went for the bad boy who gave her attention. At first I thought they were a good pair, but then as the seasons progressed, they just went downhill. Their relationship became too toxic. DxG grew from friendship which is sooooo adorable. <3

Don't worry about feeling awkward about switching ships! It happens to many of us. And even if 你 are a hardcore DxG shipper, 你 can still like DxC. There's nothing wrong with that either! :)

That's fine, sweetz! Things can change over time and it's your opinion! 你 may not like the same things 你 did when 你 first starting watching Total Drama. I admit, Gwuncan is kind of cute but I don't think I'll ship it. I also don't think DXC was all lust, but I've explained that in one of my other answers... I 爱情 how complicated their relationship is and that 你 actually have to read into things and it's not just on the surface. I don't think it's weird at all that 你 like DXG! It's perfectly fine and it's your opinion! :)

Truth be told, I'd like Duncney's relationship to go back to the way it was in TDI- I'd like everything to go back to that way.

it's fine. I have a friend that did that.... well, at least close. She was a CxT 粉丝 and then a DxC fan. Anyway, I'm a hard core DxC myself and will keep hoping they get back together season 5 (crossed fingers) but 你 can ship what ever 你 want. and yeah, it's awkward. I'm a huge harry potter 粉丝 too and at first I was a huge Hermione and Ron 粉丝 and then all of a sudden I LOVED Hermione and Draco. It feels weird for a while because your trying to figure out if 你 REALLY do like the couple. It's had changing ships and it's awkward but in the end it's for the better.
