hazarding a guess by what we saw in the the season finale. With Tony hitting his head, he may or may not have lost consciousness so perhaps it could be Ziva who would remain awake but in pain.l

I can just see Tony waking up groaning and his eyes shooting open and him going Ziva, Ziva frantically.
