Icy wasn't one to cry, but for about the hundredth time in those few months she let the tears fall, she did so in the privacy of her own room. She didn't quite understand why she was crying herself--and that only made her angrier with herself for exploiting such weakness--she didn't even want the baby. So why? Why was she so upset to hear that, because of her neglect the past few months, the baby may not be born alive.
