Can someone explain to me what the spin off is. Are they going to stop the original Walking Dead, and just have the spin off, or is the spin off in addition to it? Because I'd be soo depressed if I didn't have Deryl and Rick.

No, they won't stop making The Walking Dead, but there will be a spin off with new original characters, new original storyline, none of the characters from TWD will be in it, it's just going to be in the same universe, but somewhere else than where Rick's group is. So far that's all that's been released about it. But The Walking Dead will continue to air, don't worry :).
