Caroline was sitting at the bar in Mystic Grill, waiting for Derek. She had spotted him in the café a lot lately, but she had always thought he was just hanging around. Now she knew better. Derek didn’t just hang around. He kept his eyes and ears open to make sure he absorbed every important detail any of them 说 and then he’d hurry back to Veronica to spill the gossip.
The door opened and Derek appeared. He noticed Caroline at the bar and he sensed trouble, but as fast as he was, Caroline was faster. She grabbed his 领, 衣领 and forced him toward the men’s room.
“Hi, babe” a guy 说 with a smirk.
Still holding Derek tightly she turned to the guy. “Leave. 你 didn’t see anyone”
The guy left. Caroline kicked all the doors open, to make sure the coast was clear.
“Can 你 let go of me, please?” Derek asked polite.
“Are 你 spying on us?” Caroline asked upfront.
“What? No! Who 说 that? I’m not spying on anyone, especially not Damon!” Derek spilled.
“Who 说 anything about Damon?” Caroline asked smug. She put up her hand when Derek tried to confine the damage he’d done. “Don’t try to talk yourself out if it. I know everything. Keith told me you’ve been spying on Damon”
Derek swallowed. “Please don’t tell Damon. He’ll kill me if he finds out” he begged.
“And 你 deserve no better” Caroline hissed. “Damon let 你 in his house, let 你 near Elena, and 你 stab him in the back. And for what, exactly? To serve a 婊子, 子 who thinks she’s better than everyone else in this town?”
“She’s scary” Derek defended himself weakly. “I tried to quit a few times, but I’ve always regretted it afterwards. So, I’m sorry, but I’m choosing the winning side”
“If I see 你 around any of my 老友记 again I will kill 你 myself” Caroline threatened. She let go of him and he rushed out the men’s room.

Elena took a deep breath and started running down the hill. However, the 草 on the 爬坡道, 小山 started growing really fast and pushed Elena back. Elena angry pushed the 草 away and came halfway the hill.
Then the earth started shaking and Elena rolled down.
The road that led to the open field cracked open and Elena’s feet got stuck in one of the cracks.
“Ha, damn it!” she cursed and she pulled her leg, but she couldn’t 移动 it. The crack grew bigger and soon she fell in a whole. A deep one.
She looked up and saw how the crack slowly closed again.
“Elena”
Elena grabbed the 墙 which was raw and cut her hands open, but she didn’t care. With a fierce determination she climbed up and out of the crack. She crawled away from the crack, dodged the other cracks and reached the open field.
