Unfortunately, I think Elena will ultimately choose Stefan in the end. Because she loved him first, and she never fell out of love with him. :/ But I'm still rooting for Damon! :D Who knows? Maybe Season 4 will make me change my mind. I love Damon and Elena but from what I can tell, Stefan is going to get the girl.

I have no idea what they are doing anymore. Before S3 finale i was sure about SE endgame, now im not so sure anymore.
I need to see how they handle vamp!Elena and her feelings.
I will say, however, that if Delena are not endgame, then I don't quite get why they haven't just gone there already and gotten it over with.

I think it's way too early to say. It's obvious that writers give us mixed signals & are not going to pont the winner clearly. Our emotions are their buisness, so it's kind of their job to leave us unsure what will happen in the end as long as possible.
Honestly I wouldn't be even surprised if Elena chose neither of Salvatores in the end.

I believe that in the end it will be DE endgame. Their story, their build up tell me that. It's more special. More real. Damon needs to be loved. Elena needs someone in her life that can protect her, love her and challenge her.

Elena loved Stefan first but i find their love forced. Stefan was alone. Elena lost her parents. Stefan saw Elena that looked like Katherine but was the completely opposite of her. Elena find a man that can protect her and be with her forever because she couldn't lose anyone else. Stefan needed someone that will remind him how it is to feel human. All that has changed. She is not human anymore.

She loved Stefan but then she met Damon. She though was the bad guy but it turned out good. She have feelings for him. In the 4th season i guess we'll see more of that feelings. She\ll be torn between them and all that will lead her back to Stefan? I don't think so.

SE love can\t be like it was in S1. And yet we haven't seen all the DE love. How strong it can be for example. We don't know yet. But i'm very optimistic.

And of course DE is the popular couple. What fans and journalists want. So if Julie want a happy ending in TVD she'll choose DE. And we know that she can't do something fans don't approve.

It's either DE or neither.

Elena chose Stefan when she was human, meaning SE is kind of endgame, because human Elena is the main character and she chose Stefan. She might be with Damon for a while, in S4 or S5, but I think (hope) in the end she'll remember why she chose Stefan back then and SE will be endgame.

She will end up with Damon. In the end Stefan will end up being who he has been all along a Ripper. His true colors will end up showing. and Damon will be the person he has always truly been, caring and loves Elena. Now that Elena is a vampire and she will remember everything about her life that was erased by compulsion and she will see why Damon is the better choice. Stefan is the brother pretending to be good, and Damon is the brother pretending to be evil.

I honestly think that anything can happen and I really feel like the writers and the actors are playing mind games with us. We keep getting new spoilers and speculation and sometimes it's good for SE and sometimes it's horrible and then sometimes it's good for DE and sometimes it's horrible.

But IMO (as of right now) I really think Elena will ultimately choose Stefan. Because...
-She fell in love with Stefan first
-She chose him as a human
-She never "unfell" for him... even after EVERYTHING he put her through in S3.
-They share an undeniable connection. (Even if your not an SE shipper and even if you don't think they work well together, there is no denying the connection and understanding they share.)
-As JP once said this show is about two souls, one dead and one that feels dead and they bring each other back to life. <3

I think Damon because like Rose says he challenges her and I think they will be the best for each other. Plus I think that Stefan would be able to fall in love agin I don't think that Damon could. Plus Stefan basically lied to Elena about his past where as the only reason Damon has ever lied to her was to protect her

Totally wrong. We see their journey. Like humans and then like vampires. It's ELENA the hero. She's the same with different choices maybe. She's vampire now. She can't act like human. She can't hold on to her life before she was turned. She can't hold on to the love she loved when she was human. It's a whole new chapter now. A new beggining. That's what Julie says.

@MariLena16, I still think what I said. This show was about a human girl and two vampires, and that's the plot I fell in love with. That human girl chose Stefan and that's what's important to me. Maybe this is the new beginning, but Elena never wanted to be a vampire. She didn't even think about the possibility of becoming one what that accident happened. She wanted to be a human and she chose Stefan to share every moment with.

At first I wasn't really sure. I still think it's too early to tell, but I think it will be Damon because of 3x22, which actually made me more positive. Their build up is huge and still Elena has only ever chosen Stefan. I think there has to be at least one point where she will choose Damon. If this choice was made in 3x22, there would be no doubt in my mind that Stelena would be endgame. But the fact that she still hasn't chosen him, leaves me with more hope. However, that doesn't necessarily justify which will be endgame. Like I said, it's too early to tell, but at this point, I'm leaning more into believing Delena endgame.

I am a Delena fan, but i think she will choose Stefen just because Tessa said the Dopplegangers always end up together.
