Has anyone read both the Shusterman and the O'Neill version of Neon Angel?

The 1989 version of "Neon Angel" was written 由 Cherie and Neal Shusterman, but the 2010 reprint is credited to Cherie & Tony O'Neill. What I want to know is, what's the difference? Did they change stuff to suit the movie 或者 what?
