*My Crazy Friend Janes*
after Ponyboy and i finished our weeds off and talking we went on our way back to Dairy Hut. Dally and Johnny were waiting for us at the 表 we had previously. "i thought i told 你 two not run off," Dally 说 with a grin. "what happend to listening. Darry would kill me if i 迷失 你 in this bum state, Pony. what were guys doing anyway? anything i need to know?" i blushed and so did Ponyboy.
"aw, cut it out, Dal. we just met for pete's sake. whatdya think we were doing?" 小马 asked.
"i dont know. thats why im asking YOU, smarty."
"well, dont worry. Amber was just 展示 me something on this...what is it again?" Ponyboy asked me. i giggled.
"its a computer. i was 展示 him things on the internet." the three boys looked at me, baffled, and shook their heads. they would never get up-to-date with all this "futuristic technology." then i thought of something. "oh my Po"--then i stopped myself. i usually say "oh my Ponyboy" instead of "oh my gosh". and i couldnt say that. it would be embarrassing. really. --"i mean oh my gosh i need to 显示 你 guys something that all three a 你 need to get if youre gonna stay here for...who knows how long. its probably gonna be a while."
"what?" Dally asked.
"a cell phone," i replied.
"a what?" 小马 asked.
"a cell phone. and dont think im one of those shallow girls who has to have it with her every 秒 of every day. im just saying, since it looks like 你 guys are gonna be here for a while, there has to be a way we can get in touch. just in case if there are any problems."
we had along walk until i pulled them through a T-Mobile store. we sat on the back of a yellow-creamy car for a smoke (the owner didnt like that all too much) and then i showed them all different kinds of phones inside the store; flip phones, blackberries, touch-screen. anything and everything. the salespeople were eyeing all four of us suspiciously. i smiled and chuckled then i looked out a window and saw it was already really late. the sunset was coming on. "ok," i 说 to the boys. "im gonna have to get 你 guys telephones tomorrow 或者 something cause its getting really late so..." then it hit me, another important thing.
i looked at the three boys and smacked my forehead. "you guys have nowhere to stay. where did 你 plan on staying before?" i asked.
"at one of Dally's friend's house. doesnt look like that gonna happen any time soon," Ponyboy said.
i thought and thought. where could three hoodlums stay for a couple weeks 或者 months without anyone minding? then it hit me. "bingo," i 说 to myself. i tried grabbing all three of their hands and i raced across town, onto the semi-wealthy side. to tell 你 the truth, i dont really like rich people all that much but i have a friend, an adult, who is and he might let Dallas and Johnny and Ponyboy stay with him. i ran up with the boys to a nice big house and rang the doorbell. Ponyboy and Dally looked the house over and snickered at the same time.
"hey, guys," i said. "no bitterness." i looked at Dally. "and that means you, Dally." Dallas grinned woolfishly.
"damn, girl, how much of me is in that book? 你 know me all too well." then he looked at Ponyboy. "Pony, what did 你 say about me?" Ponyboy grinned at him sheepishly and glanced nervously at me. just then the door opened and standing in the doorway was a young but old man. he was tall, had big brown eyes, and fluffly, silvery flowing hair. he looked old, cause he was, but he also looked young. he kinda looked like Dr. Emmett Brown, 或者 "Doc," from the three 80s 电影院 Back to the Future. he kinda acted like him too. he was a scientist. i even called him Doc sometimes cause he looks like Doc Brown from the movie, but most of the time i call him Janes, cause thats his last name. weird, huh?
"Amber!" he exclaimed. "come on in!" he shoved me and my 老友记 (if i am even allowed to call them that yet) into his house. he had a nice big house. it wasnt too big, but it was a decent size. we stepped into the living room, very clean and cut. Janes took my hand and pulled me through a hallway, the kitchen, and into his family room. then he opened a door and we flew down a staircase, into a basement: his labratory. papers and blueprints covered the floor and newspapers were stacked in a corner. two chalkboards full of white chalk 写作 stood against the east wall. a long 表 against the west 墙 was stacked with inventions like mind-readers and teleporters. Janes was kinda a crazy guy who believed he could do anything and invent anything if he set his mind to it. thats why i liked him.
he sat me down in an old wooden chair a strapped a little device around my wrist. Dallas, Johnny, and Ponyboy stood aside and watched what Janes was doing. i tried to get up. "hey, Janes"--he pushed me back down and plopped a mechanical hat onto my head. it was blinking 颜色 and it beeped alot.
"um, Janes"--i tried standing up but i was pushed down on the shoulders 由 him. he hurridly rushed over to his 表 of inventions. i hate it when he does this, i thought. i grunted.
"Janes!" i impatiently un strapped the mechanical hat off of my head and tore off the "bracelet." i threw them onto the chair and ran over to him.
"hello?!" i shouted in his face. he looked at me with blank eyes, then he smiled. out of the corner of my eye, i saw Ponyboy looking very curiously at us.
"whats going on?" he asked.
"oh, its nothing," i said. "ive just become a part of another one of Janes's experiments!" Janes always did this to me. whenever i was around, i was his test dummy, his lab rat. i didnt mind it that much, but right now i needed to discuss "important" matters with him.
"now, Doc, are 你 gonna listen to me 或者 not?!" i asked Janes. his smile grew wider.
"of course, Amber. im sorry for earlier. i was just busy. i think i might be onto something!" he 说 excitidly. i smiled.
"yeah, well, can 你 be onto something later? i need a favor."

The Outsiders has some great life lessons in it and I take them to 心 so here they are...
Darry: He has taught me that even though sometimes someone can seem mean doesn't mean they don't 爱情 you.
Two-Bit: Has taught me to take and make a joke.
Sodapop: Has taught me that 你 can be drunk on just plain living.
Dally: Has taught me to be tough and 你 won't get hurt.
Steve: Has taught me that 你 should always stick 由 your buddies.
Ponyboy: Has taught me that things are rough all over and to notice the beauty around me.
Last but not least Johnny. Johnny? Well he told me to Stay Gold:)

你 look in amazement at your boyfriend Ponyboy. Is he really 老友记 with this geek?
Ponyboy smiles and nods, telling 你 “I know this kid is a frickin insane genius.”
“Well… That’s interesting.” 你 say.
你 look at Ponyboy. “So how much do we have to leave for a tip?” 你 were at the diner, hanging out for lunch.
“She was a quality waitress, so 20%. We each owe her 1 dollar.” Ross pipes up. He starts to make hand gestures to explain the process.”Since the bill was 15 dollars, we each paid 5 dollars. 20% of 15 is 3… So it’d be a 3 dollar tip, one dollar each.”
你 look at him, stunned.
你 could not to do math to save your life.
“You should have him along 更多 often.” 你 whisper to Ponyboy.
你 woke up of he teacher yelling at you. "Y/N wake up right now" she said. 你 woke up and looked up. Everyone was looking at 你 , including Ponyboy. "Sorry" 你 说 and opened your book to the page she told you. After ten 分钟 of listening the 钟, 贝尔 rang. 你 closed your book and walked out of the class. 你 walked to your last class. 你 loved that class cause most your 老友记 were in it. 你 only had like four 老友记 but it was still fun. 你 and your 老友记 always sat 由 each other in the back. 你 would always get into trouble. The four of 你 started to laugh. One if your 老友记 threw something at a kids head. "Ladies in the back stop laughing" the teacher said. 你 stopped for awhile. 你 other friend would ask stupid 问题 to make 你 guys laugh. 你 were laughing so hard. "Y/N please go to Mrs. Landers room" the teacher said. "Okay" 你 说 你 grabbed your stuff and walked out. 你 walked into Mrs. landers room to see Ponyboy was in there.
"I can't believe 你 guys are drunk again!" 你 yelled as 你 ran out. You're parents were drunk again, 你 couldn't stand it when they were, 或者 when anyone was because 你 were scared bad things might happen when people are drunk. 你 ran as fast as 你 could until 你 reached the DX, Steve was standing outside leaning on a car. "Hey Savannah, what happened?" "My parents were drunk again, I can't stand it when they are, I'm just so scared when that happens." "Hey, don't worry, I'll protect you." Steve hugged 你 and 你 found your arms around his neck. 你 guys embraced each other with the glimmering moon light it the background. "Savannah, I'll 显示 你 how to fix up cars." He held your hand and brought 你 to the back of the DX.
