"Sit down B," he 说 pushing me towards the couch.
I didn't think he'd call me B. Dad use to call that when I was little and now since he died we never bring it up anymore. Something was up. I knew that because of the way Danny's eyes looked. They looked really inoccent and sad. I sat down on the 长椅, 沙发 and saw Sherri cooking dinner. I was starving mostly because I didn't eat any breakfast, other that 面包 I ate earlier.
"Beka I have some bad news," Danny said
All of a sudden Sherri turned around like she has never herd it before. I looked back at Danny with a puzzled look on my face and tried not to act like I didn't wanna hear it.
"What is it?" I 说 anxlessly
Suddenly we herd a scream come for the kitchen. I jumped up and sprinted down the hallway smelling smoke as I got closer and closer. I saw Sherri bolt out of the 厨房 nearly hitting me as she passed. She wasn't good in situations like that. She always just paniced leaving me 或者 Danny to deal with it. I grabbed a glass of water i found on the 表 and threw it on the fire. After it went out we just ate some sandwitches.
"Hey Danny, I have a question," I 说 outta the blue.
"What's up kid?" he replyed taking little pieces of 面包 out of his teeth with a tooth pick.
"What's a greaser?" I asked
That must have caught his attention because he completely stopped what he was doing and looked up at me. So did Sherri
"A greaser is a person who has his hair slicked back and fights," Sherri answered.
"Why 你 wanna know that?" Danny asked
"I herd some people calling this guy a greaser," I lied.
"Oh okay," Danny 说 continuing what he was doing
I took off my 夹克 forgetting my 衬衫 has a huge rip on the back of it were I got cut and went to hang it up. When I got back Danny's eyes widened.
"Uhhh Beka what happened to your back?" he asked turning me around so Sherri could see.
"Nothing," I 说 trying to excape from Danny's grasp so Sherri wouldn't see.
"You got beat up didn't you?" Sherri said
"Ya.....they called me a greaser that's why I wanted to know what it was."
Did 你 go out with out telling anyone?"
"No Danny 说 I could," I 说 looking at Danny.
Soon she too was looking a Danny but she had an angrey look on her face.
"Why the hell did 你 let her go out alone?"
"I thought it would be ok if she went out for a little" he said.
His voice was quivering and I knew he was scared. Sherri is scary when she's angrey.
"Well it's not, look at her she got slashed on the back with a 刀 and 你 think it's allright,"
"No i don't think it's okay Sherri, I as worried about her as 你 are!" Danny 说 raising his voice a little.
Sherri didn't even say a word for a long time, and she useally gets the last word when they fight. It hate seeing them fight, it scares me and makes me think that one of these day's someone's gunna get hurt.
"It's all your fault that this happened," Sherri mumbled
I guess Danny herd cuz he stormed out of the room grabbing a pack of ciggeretts of the counter and I herd the door slam.
"Why 你 gotta be like that Sherri?" I asked
"Because he shouldn't of let 你 out."
"What do 你 mean? I thought I was ready," I 说 confedently
"Well 你 ain't ok? Look what happened to you!"
"Sher i'm twelve I think i'm capable of having some responsability of myself."
"Beka your just a kid, 你 not even a teenager yet and 你 think I can trust 你 out there on your own?"
I can't belive she had the nerve to say that to me.
"Beka 你 don't understand,bad things can happen to ya and I just don't want 你 to get hurt anymore."
I just stood there looking at her like I was going to cry.
"No 你 don't get it, your just so over protective and I never get any freedom around here no more! I need to learn how to take care of my self because I can't run to your 或者 Danny to solve all my problems for me!" I yelled tearing up a bit
"I just don't want 你 to end up like mom and dad did,and I know 你 will if I let 你 off on your own!"
At that point I was done. I ran to my room with tears running down my cheeks. How could she say that to me? For some reason I had no control of my emotions. I was sad one moment then happy the next. What if Sherri was right? What if I do end up like Mom and Dad? I had so many 问题 that I didn't have the answer to it was making me 更多 sadder and sadder every time I thought about them. I bawled all night long non-stop. Danny came in my room and sat on my bed.
"Sherri is just a jerk sometimes," He said
"Ya I figured that out already," I 说 looking down at the floor.
"Look Beka,you have remember we are all she has."
"I know Danny. I just want her to get off my back sometimes 你 know?"
"I do" he 说 putting his warm hand on my leg.
"Oh why did they jump a girl like 你 in the first place?" he questioned
"I don't know they might have thought I was a guy because I look like one with the short hair and all," I replyed
"Well 你 don't look like a guy to me," He 说 smilling.
A little while later we herd footsteps coming down the hallway to my room. Of course it was Sherri, who else would it be?
"Hey just wanted to see if 你 guys were ok." she 说 inoccently.
I knew what she 说 was a lie. She was probally cheaking if we hadn't run away 或者 jumped out our windows. Besides, I got no where to go anyway.
"Ya we are," I 说 looking away
"Sorry I lashed out on 你 like that,I didn't mean it," she appologized
"We know 你 didn't Sher," Danny 说 hugging her as she sat down on the bed.
"Look I'm really tired,can I go to bed?" I 说 rubbing my eyes
"Ya sure kid," Danny wispered as he russled my hair
I 爱情 it when he does that.
"Night," Sherri 说 walking out of my room and shutting the door.
Once they left, I layed there starring at the celling slowly drifting into a deep sleep.
“Do 你 like plants?”
“Ummm… Sure?” 你 answer your boyfriend Two-Bit.
“That’s not a good answer.”
“Ok I don’t like plants?”
“Wrong answer.”
“I like plants?”
“Good.”
“Why?”
“Because I got 你 one.” He looks up towards the ceiling.
“Oh…” 你 say, it finally clicking. “I like this plant.”
“Good.” He grins as he kisses you.
