Why do 你 like The Outsiders?

This is a free-for-all and 你 don't have to answer. I just would like to know because it seems that everyone is saying it is their 最喜爱的 book and I wonder why.
Do 你 just think the boys are cute, hot, adorable, whatever 你 call them 或者 do 你 see depth? Do 你 see the power of this incredible story?
I only read this book last month, but it was the book I have looked for the entire time I have been expanding my literature material. It is an immensely powerful story, and I feel a little incredulous when I see people going around just saying, "I like Soda cause he's so hot", 或者 "Johnny Cade I 爱情 你 你 are so cute!" Do 你 only like them for their looks, 或者 do 你 feel the power, how Soda is understanding and loving, caring and 更多 beneath his appearances? Can 你 see how Johnny endured and understood and overcame all his difficulties? Can you, 或者 do 你 just think of it as a fluff book? S. E. Hinton wrote it because she could not find any other 图书 like it and she needed to tell people. If the actors in the movie hadn't been cute, if the boys had been ugly, would 你 still have seen the power? I want a serious answer, and please don't swear. A swearing vocabulary shows that 你 are not a wholesome person, 或者 that your upbringing was impaired. Thank you.

I think The Outsiders is a very powerful and engaging story. I prefer the book, but the movie is a great adaptation. Some scenes are even word-for-word. I think S.E. Hinton created a world that was far from perfect and showed us how the characters coped in such an environment. Now that I've brought it up, the characters are extremely well-written and no doubt, we fall in 爱情 with them as the story progresses. The emotion is captured flawlessly with (spoiler) the loss of our 最喜爱的 characters. Sorry for sounding like a bad book reviewer, I don't usually get so passionate and speech-y on Fanpop. Hahaha. Stay gold.

Wow. I don't think 你 sound like a bad book reveiwer. That is one of the best responses I have read here on Fanpop. Don't forget Johnny's meaning every time 你 say that. Stay Gold.

It's a very moving, emotional story. I grew up in a tough area and it reminded me of people I know, people I knew and it just touched me, I guess!
The guys are gorgeous, of course, but there's 更多 to the story than that haha!

Thank you. Completely true. (Some people don't seem to realize that there is 更多 to the story and that. ;) )
