His voice is awesome! No one can replace him. Unlike Rob replacing Matthew.

No, James was one of the best parts of the movie and I love his voice. It would be awesome if he could reprise Mufasa for the Live Action Lion King.

I think he is. His voice suits very well characters like Darth Vader, and is okay for characters like Mufasa. Like, I'm not saying he's voice is bad for Mufasa's character at all. Just that it's not the greatest thing since sliced bread and there could be and are many equally if not even better fitting voice choices out there.

I do acknowledge of course that it's totally and individual matter. His voice just does nothing for me, and I personally feel that Mufasa's character could be better represented with a more...colourful?...warmer?...voice. I don't know what adjectieve I'm actually looking for here. Anyway, Earl Jones' voice is just a little bit off the chart for me in that.

I made this poll because I feel like every single other TLK fan is praising his voice like it's the best thing that ever existed. :D And I'm curious if I can find others who agree with me that he isn't the only guy who could pull off a fine Mufasa or to whom he isn't the best Mufasa. ^^
