I don't think they will. The first season already established so many huge universe, storyline and character problems that if they wanted to better connect it to the movies they would have to change the very core of the series and some of its characterisations, and start seriously contradicting the first season. And starting to mess with a show like that could lose them a lot of their current audience. As little to none as they seem to care about the movies and their characters, I would guess they do care about their new show more. My guess is that they either continue it as is, or cancel it and start over again. It really depends on how much financial profit the first season makes. I'm not saying I think it's impossible that they'd try to change the show for the second season in order to better connect with the movies...just that I don't think it's possible without horribly contradicting what has already been established.
