Gale should. Peeta's a brat and he's annoying. Gale is cute and caring. And Gale and Katniss met before.

^ I should disagree. Gale loved kat before Peeta. He just kept it a secret, there no doubt that he is at home still loving her right now wishing she would come back to him. And rusty, I agree. Peeta is great and everything, but Gale is way more of a guy to love kat.

Yeah, and what he was trying to say when Katniss was going to leave his said, 'I' but he was cut off. He was gonna say, 'I love you'

^ YEP! <3 What if that was you? You loved someone so much, but then they go away, and you cant tell them how much you love them, and they will never know you did as well. -is all sad now lol-

Yeah, well his time was kind of limited don't you think? If you had some secret crush of someone but you were afraid to tell them I'm sure you would take some time to get some nerves to...and Peeta only knew her for like what...a week before he confessed his love for kat? They only met once before for crying out loud, and they didn't even talk! However when Gale and Kat spent hours together hunting and hanging out, Gale was her best friend and Gale loved her more then she would know. I think it's sad she had Peeta do this that to her ( Confess his love ) because now she will never know what good of a love she would of had if she had just a few more seconds with Gale. Peeta is more like a best friend, or a hunting partner in my opinion. But hey, whatever you think..O.o

I don't think there's such thing as 'xxx deserves to love yyy'.. Love is not given because someone deserves it. Love just happens imho.

I love both of them-Gale and Peeta. The sad thing is that Katniss and Gale drifted apart in the last book. Things got complicated after Prim died and Gale had probably 'contributed' to Prim's death. Then, Gale left Katniss and moved on. If he did really, REALLY love her, he would have stayed with her in District 12 after the war. Instead, Peeta was there for Katniss and then, everything fell into place.

The same thing applies to Peeta. Another reason why he didn't approach Katniss was probably because he thought there was something between Gale and Katniss since they hung out together a lot before the Hunger Games.

In MJ, Gale had plenty of time with Katniss without Peeta around but things were different after the Hunger Games. This time, Katniss realized that she cared for Peeta more than she actually did. I know a number of people think that Gale is better for Katniss since they were friends for a long time and all, but really, things weren't the same after the Hunger Games and after Peeta's hijacking. It was no longer just two friends who had feelings for each other. Peeta entered that equation and Katniss couldn't deny the feelings that she had for Peeta. It took- what?- a year for her to realize that. It wasn't just a one day thing.

Also, in Peeta's defence, I think he did really love Katniss. Sure he didn't really know her that well in THG but for someone to sacrifice his/her own life for another, that takes a lot of love. And he stuck around when Katniss needed him, even though he knew Katniss didn't reciprocate his love at first. He just- you know- cared for her a lot, which is why I like Peeta. He's just sweet. ah.

katniss doesn't deserve him true. also gale had all those years to do something about his supposed love but instead he was going around with other girls. yeah real love there. he just realised someone might beat him to it and got mad.

Ok Team Gale... You totally suck!!!! Peeta is so much more awesome!!!!! Gale is so full of hatred and would do anything to win the rebellion. including killing innocent children!!!!! HE IS SUCH A JERK!!!! I totally H-A-T-E Gale. poo him

oh yeah. Gale has also kissed so many girls that he can't even remember their names! that is just SAD....
