otay! da! this is the first season (yes like tv shows) of this forum!

Piper walked down the Hallways.
New school.
She saw faces she didn’t recognize.
This was a bad idea, the moment she walked into the cafeteria.
Kids jeered and laughed at her ridiculous clothes.
She ground her teeth together, and prepared for humiliation.
This school was made for people like her.
Demigods.
Half mortal, half god.
But they all judged her by her look.
One of them, obviously the popular clique girl walked over in her six inch high heels.
“What dumpster did you crawl out of?” she asked nastily, chewing her pink bubble gum.
The next few weeks got worse.
Drew, her name, would tease her and make fun of her in the hallways.
She would write vicious things about her on the internet.
She teased her, and was always making comments about her clothes.
Only a few people were nice to her, and they sat together,
One day, Piper just snapped.
Drew, the popular girl’s name, walked over.
“This can’t be good.” Leo muttered.
Drew walked over and dumped the entire plate of food she was holding onto Piper.
Her effort to not get angry just broke.
She stood on the cafeteria table.
Drew backed up in shock.
A guitar appeared out of no where into Piper’s arms.
Everyone else was looking at her now.
And she played it.
And she sang a song she knew by heart.

Then she stopped, and the entire cafeteria was silent.
Then they burst into applause.
“Nice.” Jason said to her as he helped her down.
“Aww come on!” Leo protested. “Now were gonna be all ‘high school musical’!”
And he was absolutely right.

Percy grinned at me. “You go, Wise Girl! Let out your inner High School Musical joy!”

I growled, but stood up on the table reluctantly.

“Leo, I officially hate you for making me do this.” I say, glaring towards his way.

“Hey! It’s not my fault I actually watch High School Musical! You know, like, Zac Efron, how does he get so many girls?”

Piper rolled her eyes. “Because he’s just hot, which you, I’m sorry Leo, don’t really have…”

He pouted. “You’re so MEAN Beauty Queen, and you just sang a song about being mean!”

“It was a joke, Leo, calm down, you look like your pants are gonna go on fire.”

Leo did look like his pants were gonna go on fire, as well as his hair.

I took the guitar from Piper; I didn’t even know if I could sing.

What was I supposed to sing for them? My inner High School Musical could not be calmed if I don’t sing, so I had to sing, for some odd reason. What was I supposed to sing about? Piper sang about Drew being mean and all that, and it was really good, so how was I supposed to be all High School Musical-y like her?

I glanced at the crowd, waiting for me to start the music. I looked at Percy, and he was grinning like he was eating the best Rocky Road ice cream in the world; I looked at my other friends, Thalia, Piper, Jason, Leo, Nico, everyone. And I knew exactly what to sing.

“Music, Travis! You know which one!”

“Got it, Wise Girl!”

“Only Percy calls me that!”

“Kk, Wise Girl!”

I rolled my eyes as I waited for the music; I can’t play guitar, so I just handed it back to Piper, who gratefully accepted her sparkly pink guitar.

The music started—I knew this song all too well.

I said remember this moment, in the back of my mind

The announcements blared from the Vice Principal, Chiron.
“Mr.D wishes it to be known that this year’s tryouts for the School Musical is REQUIRED in order for you NOT to participate in Summer school. Or get eaten by the Harpies. Thank you.”
Everyone looked up and Percy said “Oh crap. Did he seriously just tell me I have to SING?”
