CHAPTER TEN


Eve lunged at me. But Percy blocked me with his sword as I summoned mine.
"Carter!" I said, "Janie, get out your swords already!"
Carter nodded, Janie was still.
Eve had back up though. Great. Just Great.
We were all busy, but I ran right at her. She turned and slashed her sword across my face. I screached in pain and fell backwards.
"Shows you," she muttered.
Percy looked at me for about a second, but he had to turn back. Though he couldn't get hurt...
I hadn't noticed until now, but Eve's little "army" were just dead dudes. Within minutes, they were dead...again...
Percy looked at me. He sighed, "That doesn't look good." He pulled out some ambrosia and handed it to me.
I ate it. It still tasted like 酸, 酸奶 skittles.

Okay, we saw Eve, and now she's gone...again.
So now, we decided to leave the 黑夜传说 (and I prayed we wouldn't go back) and went another small motel.
Carter and I sat 由 the pool. After a while we were going to go back to the room, but I pushed him in.
He swam to the edge and grabbed my ankle. He pulled me in and I submerged to the bottom. It took me a few seconds, but I got up.
"You know I hate water!" I said.
He was focusing on something else. I followed his eyes and saw Percy in the window, laughing at us. Then he closed the curtins.
"Yeah, well, 你 pushed me in."
I some how managed to get to the edge and get out. "I'm gonna go take a 淋浴 now..." I said.
He smiled, "I thought 你 hated water?"
"Shut it."

I didn't dream when I slept. I was glad of that. Honestly, some of those dreams I've had...
Well, when I woke up, I was the only one awake.
I changed into my 日 clothes and then looked at the clock.
5:47 AM
Wow. That's early.
I hadn't checked to see if there was any damage to my face from what Eve had done.
I walked into the bathroom and looked in the mirror. Though I had taken ambrosia, there was a slick 粉, 粉色 line from my cheek, over my nose, to the other cheek.
I cursed.
There was a light tap on the door.
"Who is it?" I asked quietly.
"Janie," she whispered.
"Then 你 can come in."
She opened the door and closed it lightly behind her.
"Does my face look that bad?" I asked, feeling the scar.
"It'll go away eventually." she promised.
"It better!" I said. Wow, I accually was 表演 like a daughter of Aphrodite.
She sighed, "Listen, if we find Eve again, we should use the dust. 黑夜传说 或者 not."
I nodded, "I know. Percy just doesn't think about that. She wants to kill me, not 你 guys."
Yeah, that sounded...right...maybe...
She smiled half heartedly, "I don't care if that spirit gets me, 你 know?"
I nodded again, "Same here. I just don't want my cousin to face that. Do 你 think she'll remember any of it?"
She shook her head, "No, she probably wont."
"M'kay."

After a while of figuring out how the heck us girls wanted to do it, we had to run it through with Percy and Carter.
"Well?" Janie asked.
"Maybe. But 你 really don't care if it posesses you?" Percy looked between the two of us.
"No," I said.
Janie looked at him, "I just 说 it, but I don't care if anything happens to me. I'm not that important."
Carter finally said, "Just no underworld."
"No garentee." I warned.
He nodded, "Of course."
Percy sighed, "Okay. 你 girls made this plan, 你 lead it."
