actually j.j. abrams is some how in the works of making a mini series 或者 movie about the dark tower series ,but I can't honestly see it being any where as good as the books

As of right now: Ron Howard is set to possibly direct. Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men) is number one choice to play Roland Deschain. J.J. Abrams has pulled himself and his company "Bad Robot" out of it. So has Universal Studios.
Good News: HBO is one of the stations willing to attempt a "Dark Tower" series.
