Ringo made his way alone through the darkened streets. Disobeying his own 建议 to the people of England, he wandered, up one 街, 街道 and down another. He wasn't sure exactly what he was looking for, but he wanted to find someplace that felt special, like that clifftop in Dover, like the places John and George had described. In the nighttime, all he could think about was finding a special object to call his own.
Ringo wasn't sure where he was exactly. He could tell that he had made it to a city, but had no way of knowing which city. Every now and then he passed someone on the street. Ringo didn't stop them to ask questions. This was only partly because he didn't want to look silly not knowing what city he was in. He couldn't tell, in the dim light, whether these people still had souls.
Ringo didn't know how long he'd been wandering for. He could feel a yawn coming on, and his legs felt tired. His whole body felt tired from a constant lack of sleep. Maybe he should just go back, he thought wearily, and rejoin his mates. They could all go looking for a special object tomorrow....
And then what if it chose John 或者 George 或者 Paul instead of him? No... it couldn't hurt to look around a little longer....
Besides, looking around him, Ringo realized he wasn't even sure of the way back.
Ringo noticed a pitch-black alleyway to his right. It was the sort of place that most people would stay well away from. Ringo peered inside, still unable to see a thing. Did this count as a special hiding place? He wasn't sure... maybe he could feel something strange, but that might just as easily have been his tired brain.
Anyway, this was a place where most people wouldn't go, which meant that an Object might be hidden here. And Ringo, who had once been a teddy boy in Liverpool, was not afraid of dark alleyways.
Cautiously, he stepped inside. Everything was dark and still. Did that mean this was a special hiding place? Ringo's 心 sped with excitement, and his pace quickened. Maybe here, he would find the special object that would choose him, and with that object 由 his side, he could easily find his way back to his mates, who would be so happy for him....
Suddenly, this train of thought was cut off. Ringo took a step forward, unable to see in the blackness that there was nothing there to step on. Down he fell, down a long deep hole, stopping with a jarring crash at the bottom.
Where was he? The floor of the pit felt unpleasantly warm and muddy. He could hear water dripping down the walls. As he stood, there seemed to be a slight echo in the chamber, too.
Ringo went round and round the pit, feeling the walls, 更多 and 更多 urgently each time, searching for a way out. In one place he found a grate, like a storm drain. It was bolted to the 墙 from the other side, and Ringo couldn't seem to budge it. Apart from that, 或者 somehow climbing up to the hole he'd fallen through, there was nothing else. The whole setup reminded Ringo uncomfortably of something, but he couldn't think what.
And just as he was rattling the bars of the storm grate for the fifth 或者 seventh time, there was the sound of something clunking down on 最佳, 返回页首 of the hole. Ringo found himself plunged into an even deeper blackness than before, something he hadn't thought possible. The air seemed instantly harder to breathe.
或者 maybe that was just Ringo's breath catching in his throat, as he suddenly remembered what it was this place reminded him of. The story of the Beast and his underwater prison... the place in the Thames where the Beatles had seen his paw print....
This place was just like something the Beast might be able to control. And now Ringo was trapped in it.
Ringo froze in terror as the idea sank in. He had just been captured 由 the Beast of Bodmin Moor, who might come along at any moment to suck out his soul.

"Ringo!"
"Ringo-o-o-o!"
"Where did he get off to?"
John, George, and Paul searched all around the rocks that surrounded their campsite. They wandered up and down nearby, not caring anymore who might see them and disapprove of what they were doing. They needed to find Ringo.
"Did anyone notice how he looked last night?" remarked George, as the threesome gathered 由 the rocks, unable to find Ringo anywhere near their campsite.
"No," Paul replied. "I was mostly looking at me new - um - well, 你 know," he finished, a little embarrassed to admit how much he enjoyed having superhuman strength whenever he liked. "How did he look, then?" he added hastily.
"He didn't look very happy, seemingly," replied George, in that delicate way he always used when he was about to say something that was very important but decidedly bad news. "He was quiet all day, too. I think he might be mad at us."
"Mad at us?" echoed Paul disbelievingly. "What did we do to him?" He pulled out the Titanium Pound Coin and closed his fist around it as though this would soothe his agitation.
"Can't imagine, son." John shook his head and pulled out the Sword of Truth as though this might give him the answer.
"I don't know meself..." George put in thoughtfully, taking out the Jar of Green Marmite Yeast extract and absently dipping his finger in.
The three Beatles looked at each other. They looked at their objects. "Oh, no!" 说 Paul.
John frowned. "It had to be him what was last, didn't it?"
George just looked sadly from the Sword to the Coin to the Yeast. "Come on," he said. "We've got to find him before he does something rash."
The three Beatles ran along the pathway. They had no idea which way Ringo might have gone, but there weren't that many choices. Either he'd headed out into the ocean - which wasn't likely at all - 或者 he'd headed into the nearest city. So the Beatles went towards the city.
In the light of the day, it was much easier navigating the streets than it had been for Ringo. John, George, and Paul saw signs that told them they were in Bristol. They must have traveled quite a long way yesterday, but if John was right, then as long as they weren't anywhere too near London, Liverpool, 或者 Dover, they were in the right place. 或者 at least, in as good a place as any. But first they had to find their missing mate.
"Ringo!" Paul, George, and John continued to call as they made their way, like he had, up one 街, 街道 and down another. What time had Ringo come out here? How far had he wandered? He had waited till sunrise, when he could actually see where he was going, hadn't he?
Not that that made too much difference - there didn't seem to be a single car on the road. Perhaps 更多 people in Bristol had listened to the Beatles' warning. There was no telling, though, if Ringo might have run into a soulless person, 或者 a whole crowd of them like in Liverpool, 或者 something even worse. George, John, and Paul all felt decidedly nervous, and they couldn't shake the feeling that something had happened to their bandmate.
"There's someone moving up there," Paul pointed out with relief, looking ahead to the 下一个 block.
"That's not Ringo," 说 George unnecessarily; any Beatle would know right away if he was looking at another Beatle, even from that distance. But this person wasn't moving as though he was soulless, and it was a relief to see someone, anyone, after wandering through the empty streets with only their feelings of dread to keep them company.
Besides, another person might remember seeing Ringo Starr if he had seen him earlier.
Paul waved as the three Beatles moved closer to the figure. "Excuse me, mister..."
The man turned and looked at them, and marched 前锋, 期待 with a frown. It was a policeman Paul had waved down, and the look on his face suggested he wasn't going to be at all helpful. He looked just about the same as the bus driver the lads had met yesterday.
Paul stopped as soon as he saw this, but he had already attracted the attention of the disapproving policeman, who made his way purposefully towards the Beatles. For one moment, Paul wondered if he was going to tell them that he knew what had happened to Ringo, and prayed that it was good news if he was, but then the policeman spoke.
"John Winston Lennon?"
What was he singling out John for? John frowned and gave the policeman a look that 说 he was beneath John's notice. "That's right, policeman."
"There's been a complaint coming into police stations all over England that 你 threatened a bus driver yesterday with a sword," the policeman 说 in an authoritative voice. "I didn't know whether to believe that last bit, but..." His eyes moved to John's belt, where John's hand automatically moved to protect his special object. "I'm going to have to take 你 in. You're under arrest."

Now that all of the clues had been found, the three Beatles made it to the 音乐会 hall and met up with George, Laura, and Robert. John said, "Woah! Is this the same organ from your story, Geo?" George replied, "It certainly is! And thanks to Robert's help, we know how those ghosts can be defeated for good." Paul said, "Great! How can we do that?" George continued, "The organ just needs to be played in reverse along with some other instruments, which means we can use ours as well. So, were 你 able to spot the missing gear and pipe?" Ringo smiled and replied, "Yes, we have! We took out the...

As the group approached the vicinity of the West Pier, they were greeted 由 the cool sea breeze and the loud squawks of the seagulls. Paul remarked, "There's certainly something fishy going on here. I can hear those creepy sounds, too!" George replied, "So can I, mate. Look! There's that expert they interviewed earlier. Let's have a little talk with him on what he plans to do about this first." They then found a good parking spot and took their instruments along. George exclaimed, "Greetings, sir!" The expert heard him and replied, "Why, hello there! 你 must be the Beatles, eh? My name's Robert."...

Where, Oh, Where Has My Laura Gone?

"Can we have your autograph, please, Georgie?", asked the 粉丝 in a still-excited tone. George, who was now covered with lipstick marks, replied, "Okay, sure." However, his mind was full of worry and concern for his daughter, and he breathed a sigh of relief once he finished and another 粉丝 said, "We better catch up with our tour now! Thank 你 so much, George. It was great meeting 你 here!" He responded, "You're welcome, loves. Take care." Now that all was settled, George proceeded to quickly wash his face at a nearby pond. Afterwards, he placed his camera back in his trench 涂层, 外套 pocket and said, "Oh, Laura, I hope you'll be just fine. Hang on, I'm on me way to find you! And I think me mates can help me with this, too!" He then started the 搜索 party and set off to look for the other Beatles.

Stuck!

When Laura finally managed to squeeze herself out of the crowd, she saw that she was in the middle of some hedge-covered walls. "Where am I?", she wondered while walking around them. She then overheard the tour guide saying, "All right, everyone! This is the Hampton Court Maze. Just stay with our group as we go through the end here, 'cause 你 can easily get lost." Laura exclaimed, "Shucks! They brought me to this maze, and I don't even have an extra map!" Nevertheless, she tried to find her way out of the labyrinth. This unfortunately turned out to be quite difficult for her with no 《绿箭侠》 signs installed for aid, and she ended up feeling exhausted as she sat in a private corner. Laura sighed and said, "I hope daddy George will be able to find me soon...".

食物 Fight!

About three hours later, everyone decided to stop for a while at an approaching gas station as the car was almost out of fuel and also to eat lunch. The restaurant there was a little hole-in-the-wall diner. While checking their menus, Laura remarked, "The 食物 all looks so good, daddy George!" He replied, "They really do, darling! What are 你 going to get?" Laura responded, "Hmm...I think I'll get 鱼 and chips." George said, "Lovely choice! I think I'll have that too. How about you, me mates?" Ringo said, "I'll have tenderloin steak." John added, "Mine is a Grilled Chicken Burger."...

Everyone's Here!

George and Laura soon arrived at Hyde Park and saw the three lads sitting on the 草 while interacting with Sparkie. He 说 to them, "Hello, mates! Ready to hit the road with us?" John replied, "Hi, Geo! Hi, Laura! 你 bet we are!" Paul added, "Certainly! Let's get moving!" "Are 你 excited to go to Blackpool with us, Sparks?", Ringo asked his hedgehog. In response, he did a back flip and made a noise that sounded like he was saying, "Yes!" This made them all chuckle. Laura remarked, "Oh, that Sparkie! Ever the sweet goofball!" George replied as he got out to help the others...

Summertime Bliss

It was a warm, sunshiny day. Laura had been doing some jogging around the yard while George played his ukulele. As he strummed it, he sang a humorous nonsense song which went, "When I get up in the morning I'm gonna die. Get to 床, 床上 at eight o'clock, coming 首页 and back again, here he comes, it's Arthur Pem! Singin' ukulele blues." This made Laura laugh, and after finishing her workout, she remarked, "Nice one, daddy George!" He smiled and replied, "I'm glad 你 think so, my darling!" Laura then proceeded to drink some water and sat on George's lap. He continued smiling at her...

C'mon and Swim!

Laura's wounds got better sooner than expected, and her bruises had begun to fade. While they were getting ready to go to Splash World, George told her, "I think 你 can already take your bandages off, darling. They'll get wet there anyways." Laura replied, "All right, daddy George." She threw them in the trash bin afterwards. The group left at 12:30 pm and decided to take the Tube to Richmond. Once they made it, they walked for another fifteen 分钟 until finally reaching the water park. It has a tropical theme complete with replicas of palm trees, water slides, lazy rivers,...

John's Retort Challenge

The 下一个 morning while the Beatles and Laura were having breakfast, George asked, "So, what is that splendid thing that happened the other day?" Ringo replied, "Well, we won a raffle for five tickets to this recently-opened water park called Splash World. It's located in Richmond." George remarked, "Wow! That sounds exciting." John replied, "It is, indeed!" Laura said, "For sure! It's also going to be the perfect place to practice my swimming." "You got that right, my dear!", responded George. John then said, "I've got an idea to help boost your confidence, Laura." She...

An Unfortunate Encounter

During Laura's 下一个 class, the teacher told her and the other students that they will be freeing up the rest of the week so that they'll have just enough time to prepare and practice for the sports tournament. This made them all the 更多 excited for it. After the class ended, Laura skipped happily to the exit when, out of nowhere, a group of older girls came and blocked her way. The ring leader said, "Aren't 你 that girl who was sent to the orphanage?" Laura replied, "Well, yeah. I am. However, I have a new father now." Another girl in the group asked, "Who's your new...

Everything was all set. The Beatles had spent the last 日 或者 two preparing, finding a good outdoor stage with a big place for the audience, and then making posters and putting them up wherever they found a good place. The Beatles hoped the Beast had seen them. Every teenager in Nottingham seemed to have, and the city was 更多 animated than any place the Beatles had seen since the Beast had come. It was a relief to see people moving on the streets again. Ringo looked around himself nervously. He didn't like being separated from his mates. That sort of thing never usually happened. He felt like he had down in the pit when the Beast of Bodmin Moor had nearly got him.
As Ringo thought these thoughts, though, the Crown glowed on his head, sending feelings of confidence into him. Ringo blinked and stood up taller. Maybe things weren't so bad. Maybe - wasn't this what happened every time one of the Beatles found an Object? John and George 说 it had been this way - all alone in a funny-feeling place, and then once they made it through, the Object...

"Should we take one of them taxis?"
"They're here so's people like us can get around England, aren't they?"
"We'll put it back when we're done with it."
The Beatles were standing outside of a taxi stand, where several taxi cabs were parked with keys inside, all ready to go. The stand itself was deserted, just like the train station back in 伦敦 had been. The boys weren't worried about the consequences of borrowing one of the taxis to use - after all, wasn't that what they were there for? - and quickly made up their minds. The 问题 that kept them standing around for the 下一个 few 分钟 was...
