TV's Best Season Finales Ever

Debs, what did you mean? Now you've got me confused.

This list is OK, but seems all too focussed on US television. I mean, how could you not include the end of "Blake's 7" season 2? Or, for that matter, the new "Doctor Who" series' season 2? "Blake's 7" was famous for cliff-hanger finales, but season 2's was the corker, with the heroes finding themselves allied with their enemies, desperate to defend the galaxy against a completely unexpected external threat. The show builds up to this tremendous climax: will they survive the impending battle? Is there any hope for the galaxy, let alone the Federation? Or will they all die against insurmountable odds as they all clearly fear? The alien fleet closes with the Liberator, vastly outnumbering the defenders. Then, a single word ends the season:

"Fire!"
