Because of his demon blood, I really don't think he'd be allowed into heaven, even though he certainly didn't deserve to go to hell. Maybe purgatory?

He was still quite Sammy at that point - but yeh i think there's more to it than heaven and hell - there will probably be lots of different places he could have gone!

Only heaven... He was pure Sam when he died, credulous and a little childish. It's not his fault that he's got demon blood, God would have let him in paradise because he had suffered enough to deserve heaven, but if he died now, I don't know what will happen... hell will be happier to gain such a powerful leader than heaven with obtaining such a pain in the ass antichrist:)

With the way Uriel referred to Ruby as a stain, I really don't think that him being a good person would have much to do with their reasoning. They consider his demon blood dirty- it would taint heaven in their opinion.

Yeh but at the same time it's not up to the angels who gets into heaven!

That's true, SG1, but God doesn't seem any more forgiving or lenient than the angels at this point. And after all, he must have fostered their prejudice against demon blood. After all, demons aren't His creation are they? They're Lucifer's. At least that's what Casey(demon from Sin City) told Dean. Which brings up the point that then Sam isn't entirely God's creation.

Ahh but agian, when Sam died, he wasn't using his demon powers, in fact he was doing everything he could to surpress them, plus his last act on earth was to spare someone elses life, and he was a very pious man who prayed every day, I think that desrves a trip to heaven, or at least not to go to hell. Plus there is the fact that he doesn't remeber where he was, if the demons would have had him, since they brought him back, don't you think they would have left him with those memories, to haunt him?

But it isn't about using his powers- he has demon blood in him all the time, whether he uses his powers or not. And you actually bring something up that I hadn't even thought of. The demons are the ones who resurrected him. Can they take people out of heaven? It doesn't seem like they would have jurisdiction there. Hm, interesting thought.

The reason I believe that he went to Heavan is because there is evidence that Sam was a believer. In season 2, in the episode "Houses of the Holy", Sam was a believer. He also was one in season 1, "Faith". Dean is the one who is just starting to believe. Despite Sam's demon blood and powers, he at least believed in God. Where I come from, as long as you accept Jesus in your heart, your saved and are going to Heavan. I am not trying to preach or anything, that's just my opinion. I think that if Sam died now, he might have a slimmer chance of reaching Heavan's gates. But who knows?
