Superhero 电影院 have become extremely popular. In fact, they're one of the most 流行的 types of films. However, superhero films used to not be so common 或者 beloved. In the 1940's, there were various superhero movie serials. They were decently successful, but they weren't meant to be re-watched 或者 to have much to have much of a lasting legacy.

Nowadays, superhero films are a common thing. We get about ten superhero blockbusters a year. However, that wasn't always the case. There was a time where superhero films weren't very 流行的 或者 successful. Sure, there were plenty of superhero-themed movie serials in the 1940's, but those types of 电影院 eventually went out of style.

In the 1950's and 60's, there were barely any superhero films. 1966 brought us Batman: The Movie, which was a wonderful film, but aside from that, there wasn't much going on in the world of superheroes.

I thought I would take a few moments and jot down some thoughts I have about 超人 and Christopher Reeve as I begin building this spot that actually means a great deal to me. It has gotten me to thinking about my childhood and growing up watching all of the 超人 films.

I saw 超人 the Movie in a theater in 1978. It was a moment in movie history before 音乐电视 或者 the internet when filmmakers were creating 电影院 to be experienced in a movie theater. These 电影院 used special effects the way Stanley Kubrick did in 2001: A 太空 Odyssey. The visuals were like a paint brush creating broad strokes across the screen meant to mesmerize viewers. Like Close Encounters 或者 星, 星级 Trek the Motion Picture, 超人 was about the larger than life world it played out in.
