At the end of the day, Spyro and Cynder have their power. And they probably have help from ignitus, or something (Don't skewer me, i haven't played much Legend of Spyro. Only most of A New Beginning and some of Eternal Night).

But, for Spyro and Hunter: They have what power they have, and a good number of allies. Field Allies like Agent 9, Bentley, Sheila, Sgt. Bird, and Blink. Resource allies like Sparx, Moneybags, Elora, and The Professor. And power boosters like the power orbs in Spyro 2 during the Ripto boss. And the cannons/UFO from the Sorceress' Lair.

Now, i don't want to take away from Spyro and Cynder. They're quite formidable. They're grown up, and they have the ability of free flight, along with other physical and dragon breath abilities. Once maxed out upgraded, they could be a force to be reckoned with.

If anything, i'd say it's actually quite even. But, my favoritism lends me over to Spyro and Hunter. :'3

Oh I'm sure that Dastardly, Mischievious little demon will think of some way of overcoming big foes.............like spamming their Facebook Account.

And you know that is NOT beneath Old Spyro to do such things.....

Cynder and Spyro would easily avoid the flying arrows and the attack of the smaller, older purple dragon. They have so many abilities, Cynder has breathes that others have not gained. And they both have moves in which they share, like the ending of Dawn of the Dragon when they grabbed on to each other and began spinning to defeat Malefor.

The original Spyro has everything these new 'dragons' don't, character, the ability to be fun and have fun, bravery, sarcasm, wit(and the lack of, lol Hunter), personalities, they weren't raised by annoying insects, and oh yeah, they actually look good and don't need all the fancy stuff to put the beat down on the baddies.
