Usually when 超人前传 themes are on Clark, Kandorian's and Heroes, with the exclusion of Lois, things wind down. I didn't expect to like this episode so much, especially without Lois' presence. Although I believe since Lois and Clark are official, it's hard to imagine any episode without some Lois reference, but that played a minor role with Amanda Waller, and the Hero reference placed at the forefront. I actually liked Zod a lot 更多 during and after this episode, Conspiracy. Before this ep, whenever there was Zod screentime I would usually say "Oh brother!" I didn't really like how Callum Blue plays Zod, upping the drama and decorum of speech. I would think, "bah this is Smallville, not Shakespeare." He's no Terence Stamp, who I found to be much scarier because of his excellent use of subtlety. ¯(º_o)/¯

However, something changed in me this episode. We saw a different side to Zod. And somehow, his method of 表演 fit better with these new facets.
