"Wow - Whitesnake - I must have really liked you."-- Lois Lane to Clark Kent, Crimson

Lois, who became Martha's Chief of Staff, ended up trapped with her in a plane, while Clark was exiled in the Phantom Zone, but managed to get out of it. The plane Lois was boarding crashed near the Fortress of Solitude and Martha talked to Jor-El, who sent them back home. Lois was hurt and Martha took her to the hospital where Clark visited her. It is there that he grabbed her hand unexpectedly and they shared an awkward moment.

Although I believe since Lois and Clark are official, it's hard to imagine any episode without some Lois reference, but that played a minor role with Amanda Waller, and the Hero reference placed at the forefront. I understand Waller's character from staying tuned into Justice League, so there were close similarities. Waller from Justice League was determined and obsessed with government policies and...

Terence Stamp as General Zod in 超人 II
Terence Stamp as General Zod in Superman II
I actually liked Zod a lot 更多 during and after this episode, Conspiracy. Before this ep, whenever there was Zod screentime I would usually say "Oh brother!" I didn't really like how Callum Blue plays Zod, upping the drama and decorum of speech. I would think, "bah this is Smallville, not Shakespeare." He's no Terence Stamp, who I found to be much scarier because of his excellent use of subtlety. ¯(º_o)/¯

However, something changed in me this episode. We saw a different side to Zod. And somehow, his method of 表演 fit better with these new facets.
