BUT she wasn't the only one sending mixed signals in her relationship with Clark. He was sending them out all over the place, one minute he wanted to be with her the next he didn't, and he didn't just do it once, he did it repeatedly. So she tries to find someone else to make her happy, how dare she, lets crucify her, or maybe just brand her with an A, for daring to be human and wanting to be happy. PLEASE.

She's the one who left at the end of season seven to pursue the abilites of the prometheus suit she stole from Lex so that she too could help people the same way that Clark does. She and Clark then have to choose to sacrifice their relationship or the lives of the civilians of Metropolis because of the kryptonite bomb that Lex was behind so that Lana would have to absorb the kryptonite so that Clark can never be anywhere near her again and they choose to save the lives of met. 101Katy I don't think any of the characters were selfish or bitches i mean Lana isn't my favorite character in the show (well she is my least favorite) but i still think she is a very important part of the storyline and i always go by this: Hate the writers, NOT the character/actress.

And by the way, 2 men held guns at her, she is one girl who wouldn't have been able to defend herself, plus she had been in the mental institution. You expect her to just get over that? And to me, if she hadn't left than Clark would never have noticed Lois in the way he noticed Lana. I think it was better that she left. Sure, they were great together but they were never meant to be. tsmith120 Lana is a dull character. Bland, not very entertaining, waste of screen time, her relationship with Clark felt highly forced and superficial, and was dragged on way too long. I am not exaggerating when I say every other major character was more interesting than her. And she was a mainstay of the show longer than anyone except Clark and Chloe.

SwordBlaze221 I agree that Lana is a bitch from what the writers have made her (She could've been such a much better character not the one who gets what she wants when she wants it and whines when she doesn't.: My reasons... 1. In season 1 you could see that sometimes Lana tried to avoid Clark for the feelings she had for him but kept them to herself even from Whitney who would do anything for her. 2. In season 5 all she cared about was finding out Clark's secret and that drove her to Lex, she only helped Lex for two reasons: One she wanted to know more about the spaceship she saw during the second meteor shower and Secondly because she wanted Lex's help to find out Clark's secret (Like seriously it was all she cared about) 3. In the 6th season Lana got married to Lex but never really trusted him and then goes running back to Clark for help and of course Clark being the lovesick puppy he is helps her and then she fakes her death to get away from Lex like seriously why didnt she just go to the Police or something for protection and she also gets threatend by Lionel to marry Lex or Clark would get hurt but Lana knew Clark had powers and Lionel would never hurt Clark by being the vessel for Jor-El. 4. In the 7th season Clark and Lana are together (For like the 10th time) but this time Lana knows all about Clark and at the end of the season gives Clark a break up DVD but not by her choice but by Tess forcing her too so you really can't blame her. 5. In season 8 she comes back at Chloe's Wedding from Oliver asking her too. Then when Clark and Lois almost kiss (Very Very Disappointed that they didn't because I'm a massive Clois fan) she obviously sees them in that position but by Lois being sad that they didn't she walks off leaving Clark and Lana to talk they walk up to the loft and then Doomsday appears. Lois goes to Star city with Jimmy from her disappointment with her 'Almost Kiss' with Clark and then Lana being the bitch she is taking advantage of this and dating Clark once again for the (500 Billionth time 'sigh') time Lois is in Star City and then Lana gets the Prometheus Power suit to be equal with Clark but what she didn't understand is that Clark just wanted to be Clark Kent not always some hero that has to help whenever he can, and she always saw him as a hero not just Clark Kent Bumbling reporter for the Daily Planet. I honestly think Lex did them a favour when he made the kryptonite bomb because they wouldn't have to get a really heart breaking break up again. (So many times i've lost count) There You go that's why i think the writers made Lana the biggest bitch in the whole entire world.

DR76 Really? I could barely stand both Clark and Lex in this series. Both treated her as either some object of desire or some fantasy woman. Both of them LIED TO HER consistently. After she found out about Clark's true self in Season 6, I wish the writers had allowed Lana to tell both Clark and Lex to go f*** themselves.
